On June 20, from 9-11 am, Western Colorado Alliance will sponsor their second farm tour of the 2026 series when we get the opportunity to look at Lifetime Ag in Loma! Lifetime Ag offers cover crop and perennial seed to the farmers of Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. The farmers at Lifetime Ag practice the “six principles of soil health.” As they evolved their operations to follow those principles, they realized that the more they worked to take care of their soil, the better it took care of them. Happy Mother’s Day to all of those Mom’s out there!💚 Our 3 children made my day by going out to for the U-Pick. We harvest some beautiful vegetables and herbs, strolled through the orchards and sat by the beautiful Gunnison River. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us today! ❤️

Farm Tour season has finally returned!
Join us at J&D Heirloom Seeds in Montrose on May 14 at 10 am for the first tour of an amazing season. Joseph and Dodi started their business collecting and selling heirloom, homegrown seeds in 2010, and now have three greenhouses for year-round vegetable production, pasture raised chickens for both eggs and meat, and help educate farmers and gardeners on sustainable, regionally informed growing practices. Whether through preserving seeds passed down through generations on the West Slope, setting up to sell at farmers markets, or posting informational videos, they have proven their deep care for their community and the world around them.

Join us for a tour of their farm and learn about their history, practices, and goals for their farm!
