📍 1720 Spring Lake Rd, Fruitland Park, Fl Love Handles Home Bakery began with a simple goal—to create the perfect chocolate chip cookie. The idea sparked in early 2023 while I was very pregnant and watching Friends. In one episode, Monica was determined to bake the perfect chocolate chip cookie for her future kids, and it got me thinking—I should do that! After countless trials and errors, I finally perfected my recipe. I named it A Big Hug From Mom—a nod to the warmth and comfort that homemade treats bring and to the love handles I’m learning to embrace. What started as a passion project quickly turned into something more, and before I knew it, Love Handles Home Bakery was also born. Now, we offer not just cookies but also brownies, blondies, and rice crispy treats, with specialty orders and catering available. My son, now almost two, loves watching me bake and sneaking bites whenever he can. Baking has become more than just a business—it’s a way to share love, joy, and a little sweetness with my family and my community. At Love Handles Home Bakery, every treat tastes like a hug from mom because I believe that dessert should feel like a warm hug—comforting, nostalgic, and made with love.

LET'S PHOTO DUMP! Better late than never.

This week, my oven barely got a break! I really pushed my limits, but it was so worth it.

I absolutely LOVE doing custom orders, but juggling those on top of keeping the porch fridge stocked can get a little tricky. Especially when you're a one-woman bakery who also happens to be a tad bit of a people pleaser.

I definitely took on a lot this week, but seeing everything come together and knowing these goodies were part of someone's special moments makes it all worth it.

Between the mini pie chaos and nonstop baking, here are the pictures I actually had time to take!

I'm covered HAIRNET TO TOE in flour, but the pre-orders came through and basically scooped up a good chunk of inventory!

We are officially SOLD OUT of:
- 15 Carrot Cakes
- 16 Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 14 Sugar Cookies

**Here's what's still available!**
- 7 Oatmeal Cream Pies
- 4 Blueberry Lemon Sweet Rolls
- 4 Autumn Spiced Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes
- 4 Classic Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes
- 6 Caramel Pecan Brownies
- 6 Plain Brownies
- 4 Bagels (packs of 3)
- 4 English Muffins (packs of 3)
- 2 Bread Bowls

I still don't have a final count on the pies, but let me tell you something. Those mini pies have officially tested my patience.

They're adorable, they're delicious, and they take FOREVER to make. So after this round, I'm retiring mini pies from future orders includy the holiday menu. I'll be offering half pies instead.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE SOURDOUGH PRODUCTS Y'ALL ARE SNOOZING ON?! And yes I'm getting loud.

When I tell you I tested this bread, I DID.

I left it sliced and uncovered on my counter for TWO DAYS. No hardness. I left it in the fridge for an entire WEEK. Still just as fresh as the day she made it!

And here's the sandwich I made with it. Buffalo chicken HEAVEN.

She also made sourdough bagels and English muffins, and y'all are sleeping on those too!

I'm telling you, this bread deserves some attention. 💕

We have TWO menus for you this week, and there's a little something for everyone!

🍂 Our Holiday Pre-Order Menu is officially LIVE!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I'm taking pre-orders for your holiday desserts. From pies and carrot cake to sweet rolls, scones, cookies, and banana bread, let Love Handles take a little of the baking off your plate this holiday season!

🩷 The Porch Fridge Menu is here, too!
I've had SO many custom orders to work on this week, plus a Trunk or Treat to prep for, so I'm making extra batches of some of those orders to stock the fridge. Remember, I'm teaming up with VH Bakehouse! You all know I don't make sourdough, but I absolutely love quality bread, and I'm so excited to share hers with you!

A few things to keep in mind:
• Holiday menu items are available by pre-order only and will NOT be stocked in the porch fridge.

• Pickup is preferred for holiday orders, but delivery is available for an additional $2 per mile.

• Thanksgiving pre-orders close November 21st at 9:00 PM. Full payment is required by this date.

• The porch fridge is stocked in small batches, so once something sells out, it's gone!

And if you're already thinking ahead, the holiday menu will be similar for Christmas and New Year's, so you can get a head start on your holiday planning!

I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU! ✨️

Love Handles Home Bakery was ranked #5 Best Bakery in Lake County, Florida! With an estimated 109 bakeries and dessert shops across our county, being recognized as one of the top five is something I never imagined for my little home bakery!

Thank you to those who stood by me. Thank you to those who continue to show up and support me. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave a review, recommend my bakery, share a post, or simply stop by for a sweet treat. None of this would be possible without you.

I'm just one person baking out of my home, doing something I genuinely love. To be recognized alongside so many wonderful bakeries means more to me than I can put into words.

I'm incredibly proud of how far Love Handles has come, but I'm even more grateful for the community that helped me get here.
