If you visited Fulks Run Grocery between 1969 and 1996, chances are you were greeted at the door with a big smile from Marcella Turner, former owner. Marcella recently reunited with her beloved husband Miles, who passed away in April. 

During their ownership, they started the product lines of boneless ham and cooked ham, and began offering fundraising sandwiches for local organizations. Once Ron and Peggie owned the store, Marcella stayed on part-time for several years, continuing her welcoming presence.

Marcella was known throughout Fulks Run as a friendly community member, a hard worker, and a caring mother and grandmother.

This Friday, Saddle Up Mobile Coffee will be parked in our lot from 6am - 1pm!
We’ll have hot Fried Ham sandwiches ready in the store starting at 9am (maybe even 8:30 if we see some folks salivating outside the window) 🙂

Inside the store we’ll be well stocked on broth, ham salad, pimento cheese, and macaroni salad.

It’ll be a great way to start off a long weekend, come say hi!

There are multiple ways to get your ham fix this week! We'll have our usual Fried Ham FryDay at Fulks Run Grocery on Friday, but you can also get fried country ham for dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at the Lawn Party at the Ruritan Park in Fulks Run.
And NEW this year: we're selling cold ham sandwiches ALL WEEK at the Augusta County Fair, starting tonight (Tuesday)!

Which one will you choose??
