🏍️ The Hellbusch Poker Run is this Saturday!

We’ll be opening early, so once you’re checked in for the run, stop by The Homestead, cool off, grab a drink, and relax until the kickstands go up.

This event has become one of our favorite events each year. We donate our Starlink so you can make calls, send those snaps, and stay connected throughout the evening. It allows the event to take payment via Venmo too!

We’ll also be donating a basket filled with some of YOUR favorite Homestead merchandise for the auction.

Now we’re curious…

It’s that time of the week. A fresh newspaper has hit subscriber emails. Papers were delivered to the post office and local stores earlier today.

Let’s feed the sourdough starter!!!

This is where the magic begins…a healthy, peaked starter ready to make into delicious bread! This process of getting peaked starter can take anywhere from 4 to almost 12 hours, depending on your feeding ratio, kitchen temperature, etc.

This is just the beginning…after your starter is ready, the dough is ready to mix…then stretch and folds, bulk fermentation, cold proof, and finally time to bake!
