6-7month old Wellsummer rooster looking for a new flock He is not at all aggressive toward people or hens. We just don't need two roosters. He was originally from McMurray Hatchery and is fully vaccinated and very healthy. Fulton, Maryland.

We are growing out well-bred Katahdin ewe lambs and will sell them as yearlings next year, with a years worth of FAMACHA data, BW, FEC data while they are raised on pasture (whenever available) and grass hay. Half of them were born here this spring and we purchased the others from the University of Maryland Campus farm. Pastures are rotated during growing season. They will have free roam of several acres at a time, so plenty of exercise as they mature. They will be maintained between a 2.5-3 BCS. Our flock has always been CL, OPP, Johne’s and foot rot free, and the yearlings will be tested once they are 16-18 months old.

They are all doing well. FAMACHA scores between 1-2 since July.

SOLD 10/5/25

This handsome, proven, 1.5-year-old ram will be available in early October. He sired excellent lambs for us, but we have decided to stop breeding Katahdins, for now. We may start up again once one or both of us has retired. For now, we will be buying high-quality, 100% Katahdin ewe lambs each year from disease-free flocks, and raising them to be replacement ewes ready to breed at 1-1.5 years. The ewe lambs will be raised for a year on pasture or grass hay, and we will collect BW, BCS, FAMACHA, and FEC data on them over that year. Buyers will be able to select disease-free, well-grown, structurally mature, pasture raised yearlings with 1 year's worth of data.

This ram weighs 180lb at 18 mo, is a twin, RR, was sired by a WVF, NSIP ram ( see registration) and is out of a University of Maryland ewe who was sired by a TLF, NSIP ram. He maintains this body condition on grass hay or pasture. Consistently good FAMACHA scores on our pasture rotation management. No scurs. Our flock has never had a case of, or tested positive for OPP, CL or Johne's disease. He is long, has strong pasterns, a correct bite, is well-muscled, and sheds cleanly. He is also easy to handle.

SOLD Proven, registered 3-yr old Katahdin ewe. She has had 3 sets of twins, unassisted and fed them well. RR for codon 171. She is deep and wide in her body with a lot of capacity. Good feet and I have never had to deworm her. We use pasture rotation, combined with FAMACHA, body condition scoring and f***l egg counts to manage parasites. Our flock has done biosecurity screening for 8 years and never had a positive result. Located in Fulton, MD. Can be purchased open or bred to the ram whose photo and registration papers and pictures are below. The ewe’s registration papers are also shown. She is not a cull. I’m not planning to breed Katahdins anymore, and so am selling my breeding flock. In the future, we will be raising replacement ewes.
