Did you know today is and the start of 🎉

World Milk Day was started in 2001 by the UN FAO to recognize the importance of dairy to global food systems. Dairy also supports the livelihoods of 1 billion people worldwide. 🌍

While National Dairy Month first began in 1937 as National Milk Month to promote milk consumption during a production surplus. It has since morphed into National Dairy Month to celebrate all segments of the dairy community!

Raise a glass of milk 🥛, a bite of cheese 🧀, or maybe even a scoop of ice cream 🍦 to the hard working dairy farmers who make it all possible!

Happy WORLD MILK Day! Farmers work tirelessly every day to care for their cows and make sure the milk in your fridge is fresh and nutritious. Did you know cows produce 70 lbs of milk A DAY on average? That's almost 7 gallons!
