A little experimenting in the kitchen today, and I think we might be onto something BIG!

I've been playing around with a new way of baking my sourdough — saying goodbye to the Dutch ovens and giving open baking a try!

Different hydration levels, a new scoring technique, and a whole lot of steam later… just LOOK at these beauties! 😍

Opal showed up ready to work, and these loaves certainly didn't disappoint!

Still a little more experimenting to do, but if all goes well, this could be a game changer for Maple Grove Farm & Bakery! More beautiful loaves, more efficient baking days, and endless possibilities! ❤️

Sometimes the best things come from stepping outside your usual routine and trying something new.

🐾My First Supervised Exploration! 🧡

Apparently, after all this time, management has decided I'm finally allowed to explore more of MY house. 😼

There are, however, some ridiculous rules.

🚫 No butt sniffing.
🚫 No sharing food or water bowls.
🚫 No using the other cats' litter boxes.
👀 Constant supervision from my human.

Seriously?! How am I supposed to properly introduce myself under these conditions?! 🙄😂

Management says we're still dealing with that pesky Giardia situation, so another round of treatment is underway.

At least I get to stretch my paws, investigate my future kingdom, and remind everyone that I LIVE HERE TOO! 🤪

Baby steps, they say. Personally, I think I'm ready to run the entire household.

🐾 Today’s the Day, Bologna! 🧡

It’s officially surgery day! Today Bologna heads to the vet for another big step toward leaving his stray-boy life behind and fully embracing his new career as a spoiled house cat. 🐈🏡

He is, however, NOT happy or impressed with the current situation. Apparently nobody properly explained to him that surgery day meant SKIPPING BREAKFAST. 😾😂

The betrayal is real. The complaints have been filed. Management has been notified.

Wish our Bologna boy luck today! 🤞🧡 Hopefully everything goes smoothly and he can come home, recover, and eventually forgive me for the unforgivable crime of withholding breakfast. 😂🐾

We apologize for the inconvenience and will hopefully be back in business next week.

Evening Snuggles Are Now a Requirement 🐾

Apparently becoming an indoor boy came with a new rule: evening snuggles are mandatory.

Bologna has decided this is exactly where he belongs, and I'm certainly not complaining. 🧡

11 days to go until surgery day and his parasite retest. 🤞

One more big step toward putting his stray-cat days completely behind him.

Until then… I guess I'm required to provide a warm lap every evening. 😂🧡

🍂☕ Just Another Morning at Maple Grove Farm & Bakery 🍞
Fresh sourdough cooling on the racks, coffee in my favorite fall cup, and the kitchen smelling absolutely amazing. 🤎

Some mornings are busy, some are chaotic, but fresh bread + coffee makes everything a little better.

And yes… the fall cup is still going strong. 😂🎃🐈‍⬛

🧡 Today is Bologna Day! 🐱

Today this sweet boy is heading to the vet, taking his first big step toward officially becoming part of our indoor family. 🥹

What started as a stray cat deciding that our home—and apparently I—belonged to him has turned into something pretty special.

Today he gets checked out to start getting everything in order so this boy can trade his outdoor stray-cat life for the spoiled indoor life. 🏡🐾

Step one: Vet.
Next stop: Official house cat. 🧡
