Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day with equipment built for the rush. 🍔

The Southbend SteamShell combines high-heat searing with patented moisture-locking technology to reduce cook times by more than 50% and increase yields by up to 20% compared with traditional griddle cooking.

The Lang Contact Clamshell uses two-sided cooking to cut cook time in half with no flipping required, making it a strong fit for burgers and other uniform-thickness proteins in high-volume operations.

From faster cook times to consistent production, these Middleby solutions help operators keep burgers moving when demand is high.

Happy National Cheeseburger Day from The Hansen Group! 🍔

Meet Rodney Hawkins

When it came time to launch our employee spotlight series, multiple managers all pointed to the same person—Rodney. After 33 years with Southbend, it’s easy to see why.

Starting at just 24, Rodney has grown across departments into a leader on the floor, now managing his own half-size convection oven line. He’s known for his problem-solving skills, his willingness to jump in wherever he’s needed, and the way he helps train and support those around him.

But what really sets Rodney apart is his attitude. He brings positivity to every shift and has built strong friendships across the entire team—someone people genuinely enjoy working with.

“I like what I do,” Rodney says—and it shows.

We’re proud to kick off our employee highlight series with someone who truly represents what Southbend is all about.
