We're so happy that it's Strawberry Season, we're celebrating in our favorite way: with strawberry-forward recipes for our recipe corner!
This week, we're featuring a simple strawberry rhubarb compote. Easy to make with BIG flavor, and great to mix with your favorite breakfast or dessert! The best part, as usual, is that you can buy almost every ingredient for this delicious, wholesome treat right here at the market on Saturday between 8am-12pm!
Here's what you'll want to have these on hand for this recipe:
🍓Strawberries (about a pound) - check out Barnes Farms & Produce LLC, McLean Farms Nursery & Ice Cream Shop, and Sweet Peas Urban Gardens for those sweet, incredible North Carolina strawberries!
Rhubarb (about a pound)
🍯honey (1/3 cup) - check out The Elderberry Lady, LLC, Ithíka Acres Creamery, and King Cobra Apiary Honey for fresh local honey!
Lemon Juice
Optional (but recommended additions):
Fresh Granola (check out Sweet!)
Yogurt or Kefir (check out Ouda's Food)
Ice Cream
