Bill Anderson is Osborn Foodservice’s Sales Team Spotlight for August. Bill was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee but currently resides in Huntsville with his wife of thirty-six years, Jill. He and Jill have a son, Zach, who is a Real Estate Lawyer in Huntsville.

Bill has been with Osborn just a few months, but has a long history in the foodservice industry. He started in 1986 with Robert Orr Sysco. Then in 1994, Halsey Foodservice offered him a sales position where he worked for twenty-one years. From September of 2015 to April 2022, Bill worked for PFG and Merchants/PFG.

Bill enjoys all 70’s music. He also plays a 12-string guitar. He used to sing in the Gospel Group “Majesty” for twelve years. Bill loves baseball and plays 3rd base for the Huntsville Seniors Softball Team. His favorite sports teams are the Tennessee Vols and the Atlanta Braves.

Fun Fact: As Bill’s first real job out of college, he managed a men’s clothing store in Nashville. He was asked to pick out a suit and shirt for Ronnie Milsap’s album cover “Only One Love in My Life”. Bill went to Ronnie’s house to make sure his attire was altered correctly. He was so nervous that he forgot Ronnie was blind and asked him how his suit looked. Ronnie just laughed and said it “looks better than anything I’ve ever seen!!!”.

Bill says he really enjoys being a part of Osborn’s sales team and working toward sales goals. “I’ve been doing this a long time and really like sharing with younger sales reps my thoughts and ideas on situations that may arise. I also enjoy feeding off their enthusiasm!! Being a part of an independent food company where you get to know your associates is so much more gratifying than big corporate. I’ve done both!”

Osborn is proud to have Bill as part of our sales team. His wisdom, experience and positive attitude are invaluable. Congratulations, Bill!
