2 weeks after we welcomed him home. Continuing to alternate between high protein feed and grazing he's on a extremly long lead because he's still skiddish with people and not really use to us yet. So I would just let him do him. And follow along with the four wheeler. It was a challenge, but I wasn't about to give up. To see him make this progress in such a short time literally brought joy to my heart. The vet told me itay not be a happy ending. He was determined to defy the odds..

Pictures of Buckeye today from the home. He's like I can't eat this stuff! What happened to the grass??? Life is over. He has hay and I can't keep him in the barn forever. So we gradually let him out for hay and exercise. He's so handsome with his markings and the snow. Especially his mane.

In the beginning there was a pony who needed some love and attention. I knew nothing. He never knew a nice human.... But he needed some. He also needed to eat. That I can do well . Lol my heart hurt. I couldn't leave him there. Not because he wasn't getting the care he needed but because I knew I needed him. I needed to know if I could do it. This will forever be the Best anniversary gift I have had.. Meet Buckeye
