Thumb Quilt Trail

Thumb Quilt Trail Celebrating Community Through History, Barn Preservation and Quilting We hope you enjoy your ride and return soon!

The objective of the Thumb Quilt Trail is to increase sense of community; showcase, preserve and celebrate the Thumb Regions rural and agricultural heritage and traditions, as well as, attract tourism to our region. With that in mind we have chosen a trail that will amaze you with the beauty you find in our Thumb Area. As you drive this scenic route you will see gorgeous quilt blocks hung in the p

eaks of old barns. Some are refinished some are not and we have chosen historical sights, such as, the Big Burning School House in Huron County and the Smith Alpaca Farm in Tuscola County.
