Things have been a little crazy since Ross went back to work last week he’s had a lot of late nights and 3 times last week we got calls that our bull calf was out. One night a large portion of the fence was down and our bull was not allowing us to get it fixed. So as usual we had to change plans and move Jack back to the dry lot until an appointment at the butchers opens. We decided to also take both bull calves so they could be banded and weaned from their moms. We hadn’t spent much time with these calves so loading them in a field was not easy. Jack followed me right on but the but the calves would not come near us. Just as we were about to give up those curious calves sniffed out Jack and loaded themselves. Ross ran as quick as he could and slammed the door on the trailer shut. The next adventure then started when we decided to band 2 5/6 month old calves in the stock trailer 😳. After we got the bulls settled we ended up loading up Honey the milk goat and her daughter and brought them out to the new house. She decided to stop letting her baby nurse so she’s now engorged and needs milked. Surprisingly not injuries happed with get the bull calves down and banded but Ross and I both got hit in the face by the baby goats horns unloading her.

Fall is booking up super fast and it’s no wonder because it’s going to be beautiful down there when the leaves start to changing! 🍂 If you can’t find an oping during the fall we still have openings for December and January and the Dome is fully heated with lots of cozy blankets and a Hot tub! It’s going to look like a winter wonderland when it snows! ❄️

Our sliced loaves have become so popular our meat slicer was no longer cutting it (no pun intended 😂) it was also holding us back on taking bigger orders. We drove to Cumberland MD at 9pm last night to pick up a commercial bread slicer because we got such a great deal on it. These things retail for $7-10k and it weighs 250 ! It took us 3-4 hours to take it apart and clean it and put it back together so we could try it out but it can cut a whole loaf in seconds! We sliced and simultaneously packaged 24 loaves of bread in less than 20 minutes! That would have normally taken us over an hour!

Farmstand 2.0 is stocked and ready for its first customers! It’s located under the overhang at the front of the barn we’re off Wi******er grade road just past the South Morgan fire department.

We’re all set up at the Middletown night market tonight! Come out and see us! The kids picked the produce, herbs, fresh flowers, helped make candles and even crocheting animals.
And of course we have lots of sourdough!

I think I’m getting the hang of it. Yesterday the chicken tractor needed moved and I was able to figure out how to move it but he eventually kicked me off before moving the next because I’m not very efficient and ask a lot of questions 🤣
