Little Fire Farm LLC

Little Fire Farm LLC Family-run homestead, Crafting all-natural personal care treasures that we genuinely use ourselves.

Our family has started an Autism-friendly family farm/homestead. Special needs parents need to start preparing and planning their child’s future as soon as possible. All parents worry about their child’s future and how they can prepare their child for the day they will be on their own. For parents of a child with special needs, the concern is much greater. Our son, Ayden "Little Fire", is the cent

er of our whole; we waited 11 years for this miracle baby. He was recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); he is almost entirely non-verbal. Our new goal is to start a farm and for Ayden to have the best opportunity to succeed in life. We currently handcraft soaps, shampoo/conditioner bars, and always expanding our products.

Thank you for supporting our business, We love sharing our farm-fresh eggs with you! Since our eggs come straight from the coop unwashed and unrefrigerated, they require slightly different care than grocery store eggs. Here is everything you need to know to store, clean, and enjoy them at their best.

🛡️ THE MAGIC OF "THE BLOOM"
When a hen lays an egg, she applies a natural protective coating called the Bloom (or cuticle). This invisible layer seals the pores of the eggshell, preventing bacteria from getting inside and keeping moisture from evaporating.
Because of the bloom, our eggs do not need to be refrigerated as long as they remain unwashed.

🧺 HOW TO STORE YOUR EGGS
Option 1: On the Counter (Unwashed)
• Best for: Daily use and display.
• Method: Keep unwashed eggs in a bowl, carton, or skelter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Shelf Life: They stay fresh for about 3 weeks to 1 month on the counter.
Option 2: In the Refrigerator (Unwashed or Washed)
• Best for: Long-term storage.
• Method: Place them in a carton. This extends their shelf life significantly.
• Shelf Life: Up to 3–6 months.
• ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Once an egg has been refrigerated, it must stay refrigerated. Bringing a cold egg to room temperature causes condensation (sweating), which can damage the bloom and encourage bacteria growth.

🍳 THE FARM FRESH DIFFERENCE
You will taste the difference because our chickens are truly free-range, healthy, and happy! Here is what makes them special:
• Brighter Yolks: You’ll notice the color immediately!
• Spots are Normal: If you see brownish or reddish "meat spots," they are totally safe to eat. Grocery stores usually remove these for sensitive consumers, but they are natural. If it bothers you, just scramble them up and feed them to your dogs!
• Fertilized Eggs: A yolk with a spot means it is a fertilized egg—this is also totally fine to eat.

💧 THE FLOAT TEST: IS MY EGG FRESH?
When in doubt, place your egg in a glass of water11.
• Freshest: It sinks to the bottom and lies flat12.
• About 1 Week Old: It sinks but the end tips up slightly13.
• 2-3 Weeks Old: It sinks but stands vertically14.
• Very Old/Floats: If it floats to the top, it is not as fresh. Note: While older, floating eggs are generally considered safe to eat, just not as fresh.

👩‍🍳 KITCHEN TIPS
• The Perfect Scramble: Fresh eggs are excellent for scrambling.
• Easy-Peel Boiled Eggs: Super fresh eggs can be hard to peel. For the best hard-boiled eggs, use eggs that are 1–2 weeks old.

Look at these colors! 🌈🥚 + How to care for your farm fresh eggs.

We miss Gainesville, but hope Tallahassee is ready for us!

🥚 EGG UPDATE: The ladies have settled in and they are really showing off their colors! We have Rainbow Eggs available now! 🌈🐔

📝 New to Unwashed, Pasture-Raised Eggs? Here is what you need to know:

You might notice our eggs aren't just colorful—they are unwashed. This is a good thing!

The Bloom: When a hen lays an egg, it comes with a natural protective coating called the "bloom" or cuticle. This seals the pores of the shell and prevents bacteria from getting inside.

Counter vs. Fridge: Because the bloom is intact, you can store these eggs right on your countertop for a few weeks! If you want them to last even longer (up to 3+ months), you can pop them in the fridge.

Washing Instructions: When you are ready to cook, simply rinse the egg with warm water right before you crack it. (Don't wash them until you are ready to eat them, or you wash away that magic bloom!)

Pasture-raised means happy hens, bright yolks, and better flavor. 🍳✨

**LOST FURRY BABY**

**Name: Max**
**Age: 4 Years Old**
**Description: Black Mix with a White Chest** Both ears stand straight up or flop over a little.
**Last Seen: On our homesite in Old Town, FL** Between Rock Sink Baptist Church and Gornto Springs.
**Date: Monday, April 29th** We have been searching for him desperately.

Max has been a beloved member of our family since the moment he was born; his mother passed away, leaving us to bottle feed him and raise him as our own. He is much more than a pet to us — he is our son. This is the longest time we have ever been separated from him, and we are desperate to have him back in our arms.

**URGENT NOTICE: Max has never ventured off our property on his own. He suffers from anxiety, making his disappearance all the more alarming and out of character.

Max is not just a dog; he is a cherished member of our family who has always found safety and comfort within the boundaries of our home. His sudden absence has left us deeply concerned, as his anxiety means he is likely scared and vulnerable without the familiar surroundings of home.

**Please, we are reaching out to our community and beyond for help.** If you see Max or have any information that could lead to his safe return, we urge you to contact us immediately. He may be hesitant or fearful, so we ask for your patience and gentle approach if you do encounter him.

**REWARD OFFERED**
We are offering a reward for Max’s safe return. We just want him back where he feels secure and loved. We just want our boy back home where he belongs.

Please help us reunite with Max. Your assistance could make a significant difference in bringing him back to his family, to a place where his anxiety can be soothed by the familiarity and love he knows. We appreciate any and all efforts to help Max find his way home. Thank you for your compassion

Please, if you have seen Max or have any information that could help us find him, do not hesitate to reach out. His loving family misses him dearly and is waiting for his return.

**Contact Information:**
Mom Deanna Hernandez 352-210-0488
Dad Willie Nelson 352-210-6873

Please bring Max back to his loving home. Thank you for your help.

Just let them.

Let them ditch their shoes and feel the dirt between their toes.
Let them eat their 4th popsicle of the day.
Let them dig up worms and put them in a jar.
Let them get sand in their hair.
Let them run around the yard like a maniac.
Let them blow the dandelions.
Let them jump in the puddle.
Let them get grass stains on their clothes.

The dirt will wash away.
The clothes with stains will be grown out of.
The memories and appreciation of nature will never be lost.

There is something so fundamental about letting kids be kids. Letting them get messy. Letting them enjoy nature.

Just let them.
