It's my bake week and the menu is a bit different this week. There is a new cookie flavor, two new scones, pumpkin bread, and - pies! No bread or focaccia this week.

I'm baking WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY. Pick-up is from 3-6 pm. Please get pre-orders in by 6 pm the day before pick-up day.
for Wednesday pick-up, order by 6 pm Tuesday
for Saturday pick-up, order by 6 pm Friday

I'm super excited about the pies! They are all large size (10 inch) and come in a glass pie plate that is yours to keep. There are three choices:

*Pumpkin pie $25 - The classic. Silky smooth and rich with warm fall spices. Great for your family dinner or holiday gathering AND . . . also perfect breakfast. 😁

*Sweet potato pie $25 - A southern favourite. If you've never tried sweet potato pie before, now is the time! Made with a touch of molasses and my homemade spiced rum vanilla extract. This one is super good with vanilla ice cream. mmmmm.

*Pecan pie $28 - Rich, sweet, and decadent. Made with sugarcane syrup from a local farm that grows and presses the sugarcane and then boils it down over a wood fire. The process gives a slightly smoky flavor to the cane syrup that is absolutely delicious. Cutting, pressing, and boiling cane is an old southern tradition, as is growing pecans. I'm so happy to celebrate that little piece of our history and share it with you.

What to do if you want bakery treats outside my regular bake days? No problem - Just message me at least a couple days before and we'll coordinate. I'm happy to do custom orders most days. So if you are hosting a football party, a family dinner, or a girls night in - let me do the baking for you. I'm here for birthdays, potlucks, road trips, campfire gatherings, or quiet low-stress nights at home. Bakery items also make great gifts.

happy saturday! as my garden week winds down, i wanted to remind you all about my fall veggie seedling pre-order. hopefully, cool weather will be here soon and we can plant all the delish fall veggies - kale, broccolini, turnips, salad greens, etc. veggie seedlings are sold in six-packs for $5 each.

*new - in 2.5 inch pots for $4 each - basil, cilantro, and calendula

i'll continue selling strawberry plants from anastasia's garden in archer through the month of october. now is the time to plant them for gorgeous strawberries in the fall. strawberry plants are $10 for one six pack or three six packs for $25.

today’s progress on the back yard area. i’m changing out an old rotten wooden fence, installing a new fence, and adding two big enclosed areas to rotate farming and chickens. thank goodness i have trent’s help! i could never do this without him. this are was previously overgrown with horrible privet bushes that he cleared out. what a difference. lots more to do.

whew! it was a great day and i got SO much done in the garden. another thing i'm doing this week is testing my pie recipes before i begin to offer them next week during my bake week. it hasn't all gone perfectly well - a few days ago i baked a pecan pie that was downright inedible after i scorched it in a hot oven. sigh. lesson learned! but tonight's sweet potato pie turned out super great. and little elijah is so cute!

Woo hoo! It's my garden week and I'm starting to transplant fall veggie seedlings out into the garden even though it feels like a miserable swamp outside. I'm SO ready for cooler weather.

If you'd like to pre-order any fall veggie seedlings for your garden, here are your options. Six-packs are $5 each. It will take 2-4 weeks to get them up and growing. Just message me with what you'd like and I'll get them growing for you.

cabbage - Copenhagen (green)
kale - mix of red Russian and KX1 (a beautiful maroon kale)
salad greens - mix of red and green lettuces for cutting

Anastasia dropped off some absolutely beautiful strawberry plants last week. They look so healthy! If you'd like to pre-order, six-packs of rooted strawberry plants are $10 each or three for $25. You can plant them anytime during October :-)
