hi friends! farmstand hours on saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. suny from Darcy's Dough & Delicacies will be baking her DELISH sourdough bread. tomatoes and cucumbers are fresh from the garden, and i'll have chicken eggs, pantry items, and plants.

* bakery - this week suny will be baking three flavours of sourdough: 1) plain, 2) italian herb and cheese, and 3) cinnamon raisin. half-loaves are $6. please get your bakery pre-orders in by thursday noon. we'll make a few extras for walk-ups.

* garden veg - tomatoes are still going strong! get 'em while you can. slicers are $5 per pound. cherry tomatoes are $5 per pint basket. i also have cucumbers and possibly a few other bits and bobs from the garden.

* pantry - i've got jams, jellies, fire cider, vanilla extract, fancy schmancy salt blends, and more. there are two or three bottles of Meyer lemon extract remaining. only one jar of Meyer lemon and rosemary salt left.

* plants - so many plants! habanero pepper (one available), Mexican tarragon, spearmint, goldenrod, dwarf mulberry, brown turkey fig, shrub rose, canna Picasso (two available), AND MORE. please come browse.

happy sunday, friends! i have a couple of baskets of cherry tomatoes left over from yesterday's market. they will be out in the carport so if you are out and about, feel free to swing by and grab them. $5 each. there is a cash box on the wall next to the fridge or you can use the venmo QR code on the side of the fridge. i'll update here when they are sold out.

we are SO LUCKY to have The Repurpose Project and affiliated shops in our little town! and guess what, friends - it is super easy and fun to volunteer with them.

this week i volunteered for the first time. you don't have to part of a group or go through a bunch of training or schedule your volunteering days ahead of time. i had a gap of a couple hours in my schedule, so i stopped in and the volunteer coordinator showed me what to do. there are LOTS of options. i worked on the fabric (surprise, surprise 😆) but there are plenty of other things to do. the volunteer coordinator and employees are professional, kind, welcoming, and efficient.

if you decide to try volunteering, i recommend you email them first so they know you are coming. volunteers are welcomed from 11-4 tuesday - sunday. instructions on emailing are in the linked post. i'll definitely be back to help out more over the summer.

this saturday on the farmstand i'll have a special treat - rainbow soaps from Shandie’s Sundries. the colors are so bright and cheery! $8 each.

like me, shandie left the grind of a 9-5 job behind and started her own small business. she's located in rural utah and makes beautiful bath and personal care products and strives to be as plastic-free as possible. these rainbow soaps are just one of the many wonderful things she makes. i'll link her website in the comments below. please shop her website and let's make some orders!

tomato-palooza!! i couldn't be happier about the fact that my countertops are overflowing with tomatoes right now. what a fantastic "problem" to have. 😆

this is - bar none - the best tomato year i've had. ever. come enjoy the fruits of my labour this saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. no bakery this week (we are tired). this saturday's farmstand is all about tomatoes. suny will be back next week with her amazing sourdough.

and why is it such a great tomato year? it's a combination of a few things - garden planning, consistency in caring for seedlings, unusually low humidity early in the year, and a lot of hard work on my part. tomatoes are my thing. i never use any sprays of any kind (not even organic ones).

see you on saturday for a celebration of tomatoes. let's eat them up because of course they won't last. i expect to have tomatoes available through june. after that, i'm taking off july, august and september from farmstands and gardening.
