My love for baking started at an early age...as soon as I could drag a chair over to "help" my mom in the kitchen... measuring and pouring, piping, and eventually learning to make buttercream roses. However, it wasn't until my children were born that I started creating edible art. What began as just birthday cakes for my boys quickly became cakes for friends, and soon their friends. That was the b

irth of "Sweet Dreams Cakery". Though cute and sweet, the name didn't quite feel right. My favorite reactions are those of pure shock when people are in disbelief that my creations are edible! Every cake is a new feat and I pride myself on making my customer's days extraordinary. I've been told that I feed the heart and soul from my kitchen. I sincerely thank the two most influential women of my life, my mom, Phyllis, and my grandma, Zell, for their inspirations and building the foundation of my Southern Roots and the true inspiration behind Zell's Cottage.

🍂 HELLO, SEPTEMBER! 🍂

Listen… I may be a summer girl through and through ☀️🌴, but I can’t deny it — I’m feeling a little fall magic at the bakery this week! And apparently, my ovens got the memo. 😂

We’ve got TWO brand-new cookie pies hitting the case this morning, and y’all… these are NOT playing around. 👀👇

🍎 APPLE PIE STUFFED — a cinnamon swirl brown sugar cookie loaded with layers of Granny Smith apples, my mama’s pie crust y’all keep raving about, cinnamon sugar ganache, and white chocolate cream cheese. Finished with pie crust crumble. Basically apple pie à la mode on steroids. 🤤

🥨 CARAMEL TOFFEE PRETZEL — brown sugar toffee cookie layered with caramel, chocolate ganache, crunchy pretzels and toffee pieces, then drizzled with MORE caramel and topped with salted caramel buttercream, a Heath Bar and bourbon barrel smoked flaked salt. Sweet. Salty. Crunchy. Chewy. Dangerous. 😂

Some weeks just feel like they’ve lasted approximately 47 business days. 😂 And when it feels like nothing is going right, sometimes you just need a little ray of sunshine. ☀️💛

So I put these pretty little cupcakes in the case today because bursts of yellow and blue should surely be enough to brighten even the darkest of days. 🩵💛✨

And because apparently we’re determined to keep you well-fed through the chaos…

💕 Tomorrow, we’re baking a little extra love into the case. 💕

After the heartbreaking news of Dolly Parton’s passing yesterday, it feels only right to celebrate a woman who spent her life giving the world music, laughter, kindness, big dreams, and an extraordinary amount of love. From her incredible songwriting and iconic career to her generosity and work with children through Dolly’s Imagination Library, her legacy is so much bigger than the stage.

So tomorrow, we’ll be honoring her with our ✨ COAT OF MANY COLORS CUPCAKE ✨

❤️ Finished with our little patchwork heart

💚 M&M COOKIE PIE
Our signature M&M cookie packed with creamy white chocolate ganache, rich chocolate ganache + LOTS of M&Ms. Basically childhood nostalgia with a serious upgrade.

🍫 CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BROWNIE COOKIE PIE
A double chocolate cookie filled with rich chocolate ganache, dark chocolate sea salt caramels AND decadent brownie chunks. Then we went ahead and topped it with more caramel, flaky sea salt + another brownie chunk because apparently restraint is not our thing. 🤷‍♀️😂

We’ve been going NONSTOP today trying to keep these cases filled because Gainesville decided to show out this morning. And honestly… we love you for it. 🥹❤️

✨ NEW ON THE MENU:
🍈 Guava + Cream Cheese Colossal Cookies — sweet, creamy, fruity, and ridiculously good. This one is a must try.

And coming out of the ovens:
