Our bees arrived back in Florida this week! We had a great honey harvest up North this summer where our bees went to escape the heat.

Can we just take a second for a personal note? We love this picture! Not only did it capture a bee mid flight by the smoker, but also that is our oldest son’s gloved hand holding that hive tool. He is starting his senior year of high school and took time out of his summer to travel with his dad to harvest the season’s honey and bring the bees home. All of our kids go to help (and play!) at various times, but the last trip of the season is always the toughest and he stepped up and did a man’s share of the work, saving us multiple extra days spent out of town. If you spend any time at the farm, you’ll find him living his dream and pitching in!

We’ve been gearing up for our Fall Festival season and counting down the days! The flowers and crop maze are planted and we’re getting excited to share the farm with you! More information to come!
