I have a 1 year old beautiful Olive Egger rooster that I’m willing to part with.
I bred Olaf specifically to have lighter plumage to pass on to his children, since OE tend to become so black feathered based from crossing to BCM’s.
Olaf’s father was BCM X Cream Legbar, and his mother was a Lemon Cuckoo Neiderrheiner.

He is people safe and children safe, and takes amazing care of his ladies. 🥰
He is other-roo tolerant with more dominant roos and has happily lived with a Cream Legbar roo for a year, but my breeding program needs him to change flocks to be with a less dominant roo, and he has not been accepting of the shift in direction which is the only reason I don’t have a spot for him anymore.

Let me know if you’re looking for a cool OE boy with unique genetics to take care of your ladies! I want him to go to a good happy home! ❤️

I have the sweetest story… 🥰
I’m in the middle of building an extension onto my home for my mom, and one of the sweet builders was expecting his first child. His young wife was at 41 weeks, and was frustrated and scared that things would not go well.
On a Friday I brought him out some fresh eggs, and let him know that they were “blessed with chicken labor voodoo” and would help her go into labor. 😆
He didn’t show up for work the next Monday… About a week later I received this amazingly sweet thank you note from the happy new mom.
It says that the very next day, she had a wonderful breakfast with her yummy eggs, and then promptly went into labor two hours later, and they now have a healthy baby boy!

I love SO much that my eggs played a tiny part in helping this mom navigate a difficult spot while waiting for natural labor.
Please let me know if YOU need any “chicken voodoo eggs” to help you go into labor! 😂🥰🥰

The best part about having wonderful chicken friends is getting to share our obsession with beautiful creations with each other! 🥰
Look at this gorgeous dozen from Maysville Acres that is going straight into my incubator, and look at those speckles! Her girls are so beautiful, and she is the sweetest!

I’ve learned over the years that if you quest too hard for deeper olives and darker backcrosses, you’ll start losing those gorgeous pastel shades that you need to keep for a well-rounded rainbow basket! I was due for a refresh, and am super excited to add these beauties to the farm!
I think Easter weekend is the perfect time to put these hatching beauties in, what do you think? 🐇🐣

It was time to do an updated color gradient of what my current flock is producing. 🥰
I’m so pleased with where I’m at, but also SOO excited to be adding in lots of speckles this year and continuing to deepen my olives!

I’m excited to have put these gorgeous nuggets in the incubator a few days ago! The right side with gold lettering is my breeding, and the left side with silver lettering is from my friend Sophia at Redwind Stables & Hatchery!
Shooting for lots of speckled dino eggs! 👩‍🎨🎨

Shout out to Redwind Stables & Hatchery!
I brought home two of her precious Welsummer X Marans babies to bring more speckles into my basket!
Look at that handsome little Roo peeking out! I can’t wait for him to grow up and sprinkle his speckles everywhere. 🤭😂

This is such a great post. ❤️

I love helping people! Please don’t be afraid to ask me what I’ve got in each pen and why, or thoughts on how to achieve what you are working towards!
I have also learned along the way, and have changed my methods mid-stream because I wasn’t getting the results I was looking for. Always a work in progress!
There’s no reason for us to not help each other, and I LOVE picking up new ideas from other breeders. We should be lifting each other up as friends, all with the common interest that we love fascinating colored eggs! 🐣

I’m not in competition with anybody!
I’m a fan! 🥰
Plus just look at those amazing dark olive eggs in her post!! That’s my dream, and I feel like I’m only halfway there! *drool
