Today we’re celebrating the history major who ended up making a little history of his own.
Originally from Connecticut, Chris made his way to Gainesville by way of St. Petersburg to study history at UF. Life had a few plot twists in store, and he became the owner of a dry cleaning valet service—a business he ran for more than two decades.
Along the way, a passion for the art of brewing took hold. A side job at a local homebrew shop became an opportunity to develop recipes, teach classes, and share his enthusiasm for making great b**r.
In 2015, Chris decided it was time for a new chapter: making brewing his profession and opening Blackadder Brewing Company.
Now, as Blackadder celebrates 10 years, that passion continues in every brew and in the community that has grown around it.
