We were honored to deliver the first bushels through Frey’s new Grain Transloading Facility at Seagirt Marine Terminal during testing.

We’ve been working with Frey since the early days, trading grain through Nagel Farm Service, and it means a lot to see this project become a reality. An on-dock facility that can move grain from truck straight into containers is exactly the kind of infrastructure Maryland and Mid-Atlantic farmers have needed.

This will give farmers an efficient path to global markets. Congratulations to Frey, Ports America, Groff Julius, and everyone who helped get it built. We’re looking forward to working with our friend Brooks Nagel, Senior Merchandiser at Frey, as the first containers start moving in September.

Grateful for the opportunity to host the Chesapeake Semester class from Washington College! We enjoyed sharing insights into sustainable farming practices, modern agriculture, and the hard work that goes into producing the food we all rely on. Engaging with future environmental stewards and agriculture advocates was truly rewarding!
