I really enjoyed the movie “Sheep detectives “. It’s PG but played to a full house of grown ups only. During the credits everyone just….sat there. It’s deeper than you might think!

We moved along right after I figured out what was up in the tree. We have seen this kitty a few times from afar. But on a morning walk on my birthday it felt like an unexpected delight. Farming and wildlife is not exclusionary- we left this row of large trees standing to create a wildlife corridor along the pasture. Nice to know it’s getting traffic!

Come to the pasture picnic this Sunday! Join us (and dozens of goats) for a free community “hang out” If you have never just sat in a pasture and watched goats munch you are missing one of the simplest, most divine things in life. Bring a chair and a dish to share and enjoy the presence of goats (and friendly people). There is so much going on in the world and none of us ever have time, the farm work is never done but still we usually sit with the goats for a bit. It’s our greatest pleasure and we can’t wait to share it with you. Building community is important work too! Please message to RSVP. This is a non commercial event- no tickets but it helps for us to know how many folks will be joining us! Noon to 2pm this Sunday April 26th. PS: The farmstand is open and on the honor system. .

Folks tell you when you are a “founder” that you need to feature your product. A lot. Remind folks of your beautiful soaps and balms and cheese. Did I mention gelato? Back in stock at the farm stand. Well. I think we should feature the founders of the captive kind. Without these ladies there would be no milk, no soap, no balms. They are hard to feature though-
Cause they constantly bomb one another!

I grew up in Germany. Like many of my high school friends at one point we cornered our elders. Who didn’t want to talk about that time. We wanted to know what they did and didn’t know. What they did and didn’t do. Looking for any speck of resistance to the regime. And when we found something for a moment there was a visceral sense of relief. Until we realized that it hadn’t been enough. Don’t make your kids and grandkids ask you later. Go on record. Make calls. Do something. This is not about politics. This is about our moral integrity TODAY.

Soft lips, no nonsense 🍯✨

This 3-ingredient DIY lip scrub can be made with things you may already have in your pantry—although our honey comes directly from our own beehives here on Fraga Farm!

RECIPE:
Just oats + honey + olive oil. Mixed together until they form a paste.
1 tbsp oats (ground into a fine powder with a coffee or spice grinder)
1 tsp honey
½ tsp olive oil
½ tsp sugar (totally optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Massage into lips for 30 seconds and let sit for one minute. Lip scrub helps exfoliate your lips, keeping them softer longer. You can also follow up with our goat’s milk lip balm for extra smoothness.

Buff, rinse, balm, done.
