Kit’s Original MUD’s humble beginnings were in the small Midwestern town of Galesburg Illinois. Creator Kit Wilcox came up with this delightfully delicious delicacy during his ownership of the Cherry Street Brewing Company in the early 90’s. The unique name and unforgettable taste of MUD instantly became a local favorite. Many have tried to duplicate the addictive flavor of MUD but none have succe

eded. Local students even tried to make the famous snack in their home economics classes. To this day, you will still hear people in the Galesburg area refer to any old chili cheese dip as MUD. Don’t be fooled though! There is only one Kit’s Original MUD, and you’re the lucky owner.

Mud hits the road this weekend! If you don't have plans, come visit us in Champaign, Illinois at the Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival. It starts at 4pm Friday and Noon Saturday and goes till midnight each day. You don't want to miss it! Admission is free and there will be tons of great music and food. It's family friendly too. If you're in the area or have friends or family that way share this and have them stop by and say hi. We'll also be doing a giveaway for a $100 Visa Gift Card but you must stop by to win.
