Afternoon and good evening friends and neighbors. Looks like I just beat the storms that are rumbling to the north near Galion.
Farm Stand has more items added just now. There is 4 dozen eggs in the cooler and there is two more watermelon added. The bigger one is $5 and next size down is $4. That's cheaper then Kroger!
There is 5 "bunches" of corn stalk decor tied and ready for you to load n go. Price on those are $5 per cluster which is 8-10ea dried corn stalks that are 6' tall or more on average. Also, please give me feedback on these if they need more per bunch. I did my best to gauge what would like about right tied to porch posts, farm gates, etc. for all that fall farm decor. I have a lot more in the garden drying out and about ready as well.
Let's see, grean beans from Monday were picked up but I just picked another small half bucket yesterday. There are enough for a nice pot full for dinner or to make a few extra pints if someone had some they were already canning. Shoot us a message to arrange pickup, they are stored in the fridge to keep them fresh. Price is fluctuating as I pick more and the amount increases. It's gonna be well under $5 for sure
Tomatoes. . . We finished our canning needs over the weekend. That picture with a table loaded full of garden veggies was about 22 lbs worth of garden goodness, and made another 14 pints which takes our season total to 20 pints of sauce.
We had a client reach out yesterday and place a standing order for a bushel or two since their garden didn't produce enough for their winter needs. After we fill their request, we will have tomatoes available. I picked about a peck and a half today.
With the corn out of the way the pumpkins are thriving in the full sun. Last time I tried to count there was 12-18 on the vine, volley ball sized and bigger.
Peppers at the stand are starting to turn a bit soft from the humidity. Taste is good and would be excellent in spaghetti sauce or salsa where they would be cooked anyways. I think Bunny has them marked 3ea Mix n Match for $1. Let's do this: 48 hour flash sale on all peppers at the stand! Take what you can use and donate to the box as you see fit. I'd rather them get used then turned back into compost.
Cucumbers are slowing some bit bit we still have an abundance of them. I added an additional box of randoms that grew weird. Rounds, rounds with a pointed end, etc. 50¢ each. More then a peck worth also at the stand, we can fill one up for someone wanting a bulk discount at $5/peck.
