Boss. Hey Boss. . I ugh. . We got a problem. 2" of rain in 90 minutes. The homestead creek bottom is flooded, it's bypassing our culvert on the low AND high side. The pond location has a knee deep flow through the center of it from the neighbors. The marsh bottom up front is full side to side and jumping over the culvert (twin 24" diameter) and flowing about 150' wide and just shy of the tops of my boots.

The cucumber fairy has struck again!! 🤣
Farmstand veggies have been replenished... TONS of cucumbers, a bunch of various peppers - we had to get more baskets and split them by variety now!

Pickling Cucumbers - 50¢ each (or $6 a peck)
Straight 8 Slicing Cucumbers - $1 each
Peppers - Anaheim, Bell, Hungarian Wax, or Cubanelle (mix & match) - 3 for $1
Yellow squash - $1 each

Don't forget to check the Misfits Bin! Overripe, misshapen, random tomatoes - 50¢ each!

It's been one week with the Chicken Littles! 🐤🥚🐔
They are thriving and doing great. Growing like little fluffy weeds, and starting to get their big girl feathers! These babies are going to be beautiful hens, and soon it seems!

Today was QUITE a day!!

We went out to the garden this morning, only to find most of our corn laid completely flat!! Apparently, there was a huge storm that blew through while we were out and about last night. 🫤

We used T-posts and baling twine to make support lines to set them up straight again. Hoping that's enough, and the crop isn't completely ruined.

In better news though, we got another sign for the farmstand set up, someone bought us OUT of pickling cucumbers (for today, anyway - more soon!), and we harvested our first watermelon! More on that later though. ☺️
