I'm super stoked! You can now get your fix of Mort's Meat Mafia rubs available today on shelves at 5 local Ace Hardware's in Blair County. Duncansville, Tyrone, Roaring Spring, Huntingdon and Everett. I'll continue the hustle to help you up your BBQ game. Never know what's coming next.

The Mafia had a great time yesterday at the Smokin' in the Gap Peoples Choice BBQ competition. The event raised a pile of money for the local fire department. I'm happy to have to have been a contributor to their success.

We had such a great time with the other competitors and talking with all the hungry people. Thank you Pennwood Home and Hearth for putting on this great event and doing what you do.

We ended up 3rd overall with our best finish a 1st place in brisket. We also had a 2nd in pork, 3rd in ribs and 3rd in pork belly. Ive been eyeing up a Smithey cast iron skillet and the 1st place brisket came with one. SCORE!

All of the top 3 finishesin each category come with these great rubs and sauces from different sponsors. Mort's Meat Mafia also sponsored this event with some rubs.

Thanks again Sam Knee for being my right hand(and sometimes left) at this event.
We did some hustling for sure.

After a long night of cooking, we are getting set up in Pleasant Gap at Pennwood Home and Hearth for a people's choice BBQ contest to benefit the local fire department. We start serving at 11:30. Come out and support and enjoy some great BBQ from all the competitors.
