Hey friends… The Local @ G-Town will be CLOSED permanently .

We had a very scary situation this week — a close family member suffered a heart attack. But by the grace of God, He stepped in and carried us through. 🙏

Because of everything happening, I’m having to make some major life changes. I’ll be moving, and I will be selling my food truck and my home.

I’m honestly heartbroken to be leaving Galveston. It has always been my dream to live here… but even more than that, it’s my desire to follow Jesus wherever He leads me — no matter where that is.

To every single person I’ve met here in Galveston, and to all of my supporters of The Local @ G-Town… THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Your love, support, and kindness meant more to me than you’ll ever know. ❤️

Please keep my family in your prayers — for healing, peace, strength, and guidance as we walk through this season.

God is still good… even in the hard weeks.

Oh my .. we still have vegetable soup today do you want to pair it up with the grilled cheese we got that.. do you want to pair it up with a grilled ham and cheese? Oh yeah, we got that too… oh, you want a chopped brisket sandwich with a bowl of soup believe it or not we got that too.. today’s dessert red velvet cake as I was cutting it I just made myself the spokesperson to lick the knife, of course afterwards hello.. and I have to say it’s amazing!!!!!! if you have not tried The Local @ G-Town you are definitely missing out and don’t forget every time you come in and support our small business here at the food truck park you get an entry in for our big bonanza giveaway on our grand opening on May 20 and 21st 2026..

Here is my Review of Mario’s Italian restaurant here on the east end .. looks like they have remodeled the inside. Cute cozy ..Tristryn was my waiter.
I got the bruschetta. I have to say it’s probably the best on the island bread was toasted just right.  .just the right amount of tomatoes, cheese, basil, and that balsamic vinegar just put it over the edge. Excellent if you’ve never had bruschetta, you need to come here and try this it will rock your world. I also got a kids portion of the blacken chicken Alfredo. The chicken had the right amount of seasoning on it piled on top. You could tell that the Alfredo was cooked fresh cheesy fresh noodles overall I’ll give it a 10 out of 10. excellent excellent meal and I’ll be taking home a piece of ..that Italian cream cake..

What a blessed day this Tuesday is: The Local @ G-Town is open at 2914 Ave R 1/2 and and you can call your oeder in 979-324-5013 I can also send you a menu if you like - this week soup special is vegetable. We also have a brown bag burger special where you get a cheeseburger loaded with chips and a drink for all you peeps they need something fast this week‘s desserts are while they last lemon cake orange, crush cake, raspberry coffee, cake, and red velvet cake no pies this week and we do have a banana pudding. We are also on DoorDash and GrubHub. Don’t forget every order that you placed now between May 19 get you a free ticket in for all of our drawings for our grand opening… I can tell you that you want as many tickets in as possible we are giving away. Don’t tell nobody I went working real hard to get great stuff so far we have two laptops and two TVs several tablets.. headphones and earbuds and cooking equipment and gift certificates and a great gift from Carnival that I can’t tell you about has to do with cruising. Oh yeah, you definitely wanna be in on these drawings for sure. Swing by the food truck park. Check us out get you some food. Hope to see you soon.

Chef Beverly here from The Local @ G-Town, and my heart is FULL.

Because of your support, I was able to hand out free meals today to so many people along the Seawall, and that right there is what it’s all about. 🙏❤️

Thank you to everyone who shopped with us this holiday season, told a friend (or ten 😉), shared our posts, and made a point to support us all year long. Y’all help keep this legacy alive — one that means so much to me and my family.

And let me give the biggest cherry-on-top THANK YOU to my amazing staff 🍒🙌 They showed up, showed OUT, and rocked this season. I truly couldn’t do any of this without them.
