Anyone interested in a free pet bunny? (Monroe, Greenbrier folks or friends traveling in the area). We have a young female that has a tremendous personality. Loves to play, very active. As much as I enjoy all of our bunnies, this one really is quite special. We're finishing up our rabbit butchering for the season and it'd be a waste for this one to go to the freezer. If anyone is interested I'll post a photo. She's also beautiful.

Hello Friends! We're still experimenting with canned rabbit and a new suggestion, rabbit jerky. (Just writing the words "canned rabbit" made my mouth water). I'd love to hear whether jerky would be something any of you would like to try. Also, please let me know if you have any preferred seasonings for canned rabbit. Right now we're working with combinations of Kosher salt, sage, onion and garlic. Cheers!

Hi Friends! I've started working on the Two Creeks Farm online store. If you have a few moments, please visit the Two Creeks Farm FB page (Two Creeks Farm) and click on "Shop Now" to see the store. You'll land on the home page; there's a "Products" tab in the header to browse what's for sale. Although it'd be great if you'd like to make a purchase, I'd also appreciate feedback/suggestions via Messenger. Thanks so much!

Well, Mr. Pig is now off the market. I've posted a few garden goodies for sale (garlic, oregano and sage) while we are gearing up to offer canned rabbit meat.

And one last post for the afternoon... you might have noticed our "shop now" button on the upper right. We just have one market pig for sale today but we expect to have more agriculture products soon. First on the list: canned rabbit meat. We tried our first batch a couple of nights ago and it was *awesome*. Delicious and ultra-tender. Anyone out there like canned rabbit?

Just for fun, we'll also share the ongoing saga of Barnabus Barn Bunny. (That's the rascal in our profile pic). Barnabus escaped from his cage about a year ago and ran off to the woods. Incredibly, he came back to the barn about 2 weeks later. Instead of recapturing him, we started to feed him treats and, in general, spoil him rotten. He still spends a lot of time outdoors but he comes in the barn most days. He'll go in and out of rabbit cages on his own to visit his friends (we supply the stool), run to us to be petted, and even watch over other escaped bunnies until we recapture them.

Two Creeks Farm is a 43 acre homestead, owned and run by Fred and Susie Blackmer. Our dream is to create a self-contained and self-sustaining property, combining the best of old and new. So we tend to use plenty of machinery and modern methods in constructing buildings, generating power and such, but we rely on older methods for raising and harvesting livestock, storing foods and processing leather and fabric.
On this page we'll be sharing our adventures about livestock, gardening, building, fixing and general homesteading. Welcome!
