I will *NOT* be at the this Saturday! I’m traveling this week to Washington D.C. for a brief trip to start writing work for the National Science Foundation - 🌎 So I will not make it back in time for market. But I'm very excited about this new work, writing in the Sciences - some of it involving and !
Though I won’t be at market, you can still find me on Facebook LIVE next Tuesday, Dec. 10th, 11 AM Central to talk about my Herbalism book with The Good Witches ✨ 🧙‍♀️🧙‍♀️ Go find “The Good Witches” public Facebook Group to join right at that time - and to ask me any questions about the book, herbalism, anything, if you have any!

My book will also be available soon for sale in their shop - The Good Witches Cottage - Grand Opening Dec. 13th! 📚
And by the way, YES... I know some of you are excited and asking about the new digital recipe ebook you’ll be getting! This will be published SOON after holidays and now that I have all these last minute travels this week, it's been pushed back a little! More updates on that soon..

I'm making a comeback this weekend! It's been a crazy funhouse mirror of a summer - with long COVID recovery, new jobs and writing projects, and still somehow managing to grow bigger garlic than last year 🤣 I don't know how I did it! (Well, probably because the garlic got all my attention and what little energy I did habe this year... 🧄👀) A whole update and review of the year, and more writing, plus what foods and herbs I've been using these past few months to help me, coming to my Substack soon... ..and come talk to me at my market stand about all this Saturday! Stock up on some of these very same herb, veg, and plant needs. I'll be near the corner of 13th and Iowa in Dubuque this Saturday from 7 to 12, with some of this year's big garlic, some surprise Thelma Sanders squash, herbal mushroom tinctures (chaga and lions mane!) houseplants, cactus, and more - plus, copies of my book on herbalism!
I had no idea what getting better was going to look like, or if it would even happen. But here I am, making some strides, with good days becoming more and more common - here's hoping I'll be back to full swing for a bigger farming season next year. I've missed everyone and a big thank you to everyone's kind notes, words, and messages along the way. 🙏💙

Babying the garlic today. 🧄 Another weeding, a couple organic foliar sprays, a spot mulching, and these betties are gonna take right off. Not even June and these plants are huge - so they're gonna be massive at harvest. Which was just what I was hoping for. I put in a lot last year for them to be the biggest and best crop yet, and grow out my seed stores in 2024. Amazing seed stock from and Sheila Knoploh !

100 lbs of rhubarb harvested in under a day - definitely a personal best! And got the whole patch cleaned up, too. Long COVID ain't beaten me yet! I'll be bringing all this and more to tomorrow - all Certified Naturally Grown. See you there!
