🎃 And then there was ONE.

The last of our three giant pumpkins was also the BIGGEST. She barely fit in the cart, and once again, the three of us couldn’t lift her. So we walked her up instead.

It took all three of us pushing to get that cart up the hill. 💪😂

Her final resting place? Right by the goats. Because when the day comes to feed her to the herd, we won't have far to go. I have no idea how much she weighs.

Three giant pumpkins harvested, a whole lot of muscle used, and some very happy goats in our future.

I wonder if the goats know what’s coming… 🐐🎃
I think they do.

The middle sister fit in the garden cart, but even with Valleri and Erin helping, we couldn't lift it out to put it in the truck. So we walked it up the hill in the cart. Its too heavy to weigh. I am guessing maybe 100 pounds 🤔.

Its new home is over by the bucks pen. Near the darling photo board that painted for us.

Well we got the first of the three sisters out of the garden without smashing pumpkins.

65 pounds!!

Now we try to get the other two jollity giants. I mean, okay, i know they're not really giants, but I think they're pretty impressive.They're the biggest pumpkins we've ever grown.

Sometimes, the sweetest things about sharing our farm are the little moments we might otherwise miss. ❤️

These lovely visitors came to see us for the third time— and they even saved up their acorns to bring along and feed the goats! 🐐🌰

In our guest book, they left us this note:

“Thanks for letting us come and enjoy a piece of your world.”

Oh, you have no idea how much that means to us. 🥹

We’re so glad you came back to spend a little time in our world. The goats, the farm, the cheese, the whole crazy, wonderful thing we get to do here… it’s even better when we get to share it with people like you.

Yes, miniature dairy goats can be registered! 🐐

We get this question from time to time, so here’s the scoop:

Our standard-size dairy goats are registered with ADGA under our herd name Jollity Farm. Our miniature dairy goats are registered with TMGR — The Miniature Goat Registry — under our herd name Irm’s Girls.

We don’t show our goats anymore. Once you go from being a private goat owner to running a commercial dairy, priorities change a bit. These days, our goats have a different job to do!

We don’t keep miniature dairy goats at Jollity Farm just because they’re cute. Although, let's be honest, that certainly doesn't hurt 😉We keep them because we really like the milk they produce — and that milk makes a difference in the cheese we make.

We still breed for healthy goats with good conformation, good temperaments, and, most importantly for us, excellent quantity and quality of milk. The miniature dairy goats are a real part of our dairy herd and our cheesemaking program.

And yes, a miniature dairy goat may be smaller, but she can be a seriously good little milker! 🥛

We’ll have miniature dairy goat kids available this spring, so if you've been thinking about adding a miniature dairy goat to your herd, keep an eye on Irm’s Girls.

We LOVE seeing Jollity Farm make its way out into the world. 🐐💜

A lovely customer recently left us a 5-star Yelp review after discovering Jollity Farm on Instagram—and she included these pictures of the actual package she received. 🥹

She ordered an assortment of soaps and a lavender lotion and told us the soaps leave her skin soft, the lotion has become her new favorite go-to, AND she loved the little sample soap we tucked into her order.

Honestly, this is one of our favorite parts of having a small farm business. We make the soap, pour the lotion, pack the boxes, stick on the goat stickers—and then they head off to new homes all over the place.

And someday, we hope she makes it from Instagram to the actual farm! Until then, we’re pretty happy knowing a little bit of Jollity is making somebody’s day.

A little while back, we asked if you'd be interested in some small, behind-the-scenes farm tours this fall.

Well...you said YES. So we're doing it! We've added a few dates to the Jollity Farm calendar, and tickets are now available.

🌿 Saturday Morning Farm Tour + Cheese Tasting — $15/person
Come see a real working goat dairy while the morning milking is underway, meet some of the goats, learn a little about what happens here at Jollity Farm, and finish up with a tasting of our cheese.

🌙 Friday Evening Behind the Scenes — $20/person
The farm is closed. The visitors have gone home. Now you get to see a little of what happens behind the scenes at Jollity Farm—including the goats, the dairy, the cheesemaking, and whatever else farm life decides to throw at us that evening. 😂 And, of course, there will be cheese.

These aren't big, formal tours. They're small, casual Jollity Farm experiences—the kind of stuff we normally get to share with visitors one-on-one. And because apparently someone forgot that fall in the foothills does not necessarily mean fall temperatures...😂☀️ We're going to keep an eye on the weather and may adjust dates or add another tour later in October if it looks like Mother Nature is finally ready to cooperate.

Space is limited, so if you've been waiting for us to actually do this...
