Blazen Nu Ash aka "Ash"

2026 AQHA Smokey Black filly.

She is sired by Amazen Blue Blazen and out of Call Me Pinky.

When you buy beef directly from a local farmer or rancher, you’re not just buying meat—you’re supporting a family, a community, and a way of life.

The “Big 4” meat packers control the majority of America’s beef processing. Every step between the ranch and your dinner table adds costs, middlemen, transportation, and corporate profits.

Buying farm-direct means:

✔ More of your money stays with the producer who raised the animal
✔ You know where your beef came from
✔ You can ask how it was raised and fed
✔ Local dollars stay in local communities
✔ You help keep family farms and ranches in business

Many people are surprised to learn that farm-direct beef can often be competitively priced when purchased by the quarter, half, or whole animal.

I’m not against grocery stores—everyone has a place in the market. But I do believe consumers should have the choice to buy directly from the people who produce their food.

California farmers and ranchers work hard every day to provide safe, high-quality food. The more we can connect consumers directly with producers, the stronger our rural communities become.

Know your farmer. Know your rancher. Know your food.

Quick life update.

I (Kassandra) go in for cervical surgery (possible disc fusion(s) / disc replacement(s)) on June 25th (as of right now) following a neck injury last month.

My recovery will be significantly quicker than Tyler Brennan recovery from his spinal lumbar disc replacement surgery..

Apologies if I don't respond. I'm kind of out of it until this pain gets resolved.

Business will be pausing/slowing for a bit, schedules will be kept as we can, and deliveries will be conducted. I will be reaching out to those who have ordered and will make sure to keep everything going as I can.

Did you know cows only have one stomach? 🐄 It's true! But that one stomach has four very busy compartments: the Rumen, Reticulum, Omasum, and Abomasum. This educational guide breaks down the important job of each chamber.

Owning livestock is beautiful.
But it’s also brutal.

People show the good parts..
the babies, the first steps, the magic.

But not the part where you walk into the pasture
and know something’s wrong.

The panic.
The helplessness.
The quiet after.

Because we don’t just “have animals.”
We know them. we love them.

And when we lose one… it wrecks you.

You still cry in the truck.
You still carry the guilt.
You still bury them yourself and whisper “i’m sorry” even when you did everything you could.

This life is real. And it hurts.. because you loved them.
