Hi folks! Long one, sorry, but I feel this is important to share. Please feel free to skip this if you don’t want to read it all. I’ll also put a TL;DR at the bottom.
First off, we’re extremely glad to have you all as followers of Skeleteens. We greatly appreciated the support. I was wondering if any of you could provide us some help.
When this page was started over a decade ago, it quickly grew to 9,500 followers. At the 10k follower mark, the page is eligible for monetization. Which I didn’t know about at the time.
This was just a page that was created to share a common passion for Skeleteens, and help those that thought they were no longer available, order some if they wanted.
However, since hitting 9,500 followers, Facebook has been reporting a drop in followers of around 2 per week on average for years, regardless of how many new people follow the page.
9,500 originally, minus 2 followers a week on average, that’s 104 followers we “lose” per year. We are now at 8,250. So that’s around 1,250 followers we’ve slowly “lost” over the past 10+ years, despite us getting dozens of new followers all the time. This is too consistent and methodic to be happening organically.
I have politely reached out to Facebook several times over the past several years in particular, but they have done nothing. I have documented this slow yet consistent decline, but only since the beginning of this year. If you look at the pictures, you’ll clearly see that our follower count is being manipulated. Again, despite us getting new followers all the time, the total number keeps declining.
I’d like to see if you folks can help us test something. Please, see if you can get others to follow the page, so I can see if it’s possible that the total follower count will increase for the first time in over 10 years.
If you don’t feel like helping, that’s fine, no hard feelings. However if you can help, it would be greatly appreciated, because I don’t know what else to do.
We love that Skeleteens is still so well liked. Please help us get the followers back that we deserve. I can’t express how much any help you could offer, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.

TL;DR: Facebook keeps doing nothing but slowly reducing the page’s follower count, despite us regularly getting new followers. Please, if you would, share this page, or do whatever you (morally) can, to see if we can grow some followers on here for a change. Advice on how else to handle this situation, would also be appreciated, as Facebook has been NO help
