Our egg laying chickens are moved daily onto new grass, and sometimes twice a day! We do it this way instead of fully free ranging because the chickens are kept safe from hawks, owls, coyotes, and our biggest daytime predator- stray dogs.
They still get all the benefits of the pasture and can eat greens and scratch for bugs within the safety of the tractors. We are still building more so that the chickens can have plenty of room! I love how they look like outdoor art 🖼
