A quick update about Food Pantry Friday...

We experienced a great loss in our family this week. Brittany's grandfather passed away, and we will be taking some time away from the farm on Friday to be with family as we honor and remember this great man.

Because of that, there will be no You-Pick this Friday evening.

We will, however, move Food Pantry Friday to Sunday. Join us Sunday from 4:30–8 PM for You-Pick, and bring a food shelf item to donate to the Garretson Food Pantry. As planned, you'll be able to pick for $20 with a donation, or pay the regular $25 and we'll donate $5 on your behalf.

Thank you for understanding as we take this time to be with family. We look forward to seeing you back in the flower field on Sunday.

It's a great option for work groups, clubs, a girls' night with friends, bachelorette parties, or any group looking to do something a little different. Spend time in the flower field, pick your own blooms, and create a bouquet to take home.

The flowers are looking good, and it looks like we're going to have some beautiful weather tomorrow night!

Join us in the flower field for You-Pick Sunday, August 23 from 4:30–8 PM. The field is full of color right now and there are plenty of blooms waiting to be picked.

Grab a friend, bring the family, or come enjoy a little time wandering the rows and making your own bouquet.

This week's Jars of Joy looked a little different—and we think that's pretty special.

This round was sponsored by Quality Printing, and they decided they didn't want to simply sponsor the flowers. They wanted their staff to be the ones spreading the joy.

Last night, the Quality Printing team came out to the farm, picked their own flowers, and designed their Jars of Joy. Then each person got to take their arrangement and deliver it to someone of their choice.

The same Jars of Joy rule applied: You can't keep your jar. It has to be gifted.

There was plenty of chatter in the flower field about where those jars were headed—a local chamber director, a friend going through a hard time, the first customer to walk through the door in the morning, and so many other people who could use a little unexpected kindness.

That's what we love about Jars of Joy. You never really know where a jar will end up or how far one simple bouquet might travel.

A huge thank you to Quality Printing for sponsoring this round of joy and for choosing to make it a hands-on experience for their team. We loved having you in the flower field and can't wait to see how far your jars travel!
