C L O S I N G A N N O U N C E M E N T
As our first snow falls I find myself closing down the farm not just for the winter, but for good this time. The nine seasons here have been a lot of things, from incredible to incredibly difficult, and still fulfilling is at the top of that list. In many ways it feels like I’ve lived out an entire lifetime in the last ten years.
It started in 2017, moving here that April and sowing microgreens within the week. Then making cold calls and visits to restaurants with samples and a list for the coming months. From vegetables to livestock to basic construction, mechanics and countless other activities; I have been so lucky to do this. Without a doubt it has been the most influential experience of my life. I have so much gratitude for the individuals and businesses I’ve worked with, for the unbelievably supportive customers I’ve gotten to know, and the community at large for championing local producers. The biggest thank you could never be enough.
That said, my farm is now for sale and will be officially listed in the coming weeks. If you want to jump into a turnkey operation, living on a beautiful country acreage twenty minutes from downtown Sioux Falls, this is your spot. Ideally I can leave this important part of my life with humans who will continue to expand upon what I’ve spent so much time, and sweat, and love building. This isn’t really the end - you will always find me digging in the dirt, trying to grow something beautiful.
