Yeah... nobody actually said that. 🤣

Perfect day for farm chaos. 🥵

I walk outside and the first thing I find is Larry the pig loose. Spot, our black-and-white mini, is over his shenanigans and keeps telling him to back off with both hind feet... while Larry is over there hu***ng the ground like he has absolutely zero concerns in life. 🤦‍♀️🐷

I finally get Larry where he belongs and head back toward his pen...

Then I realize his neighbor, Red Beard, is out.

I see his good side first...

Then he runs past me, and that's when I see it.

One horn is hanging on by a thread.

As if that wasn't enough, I realize his brother, Twin Beard, is out too.

So what started as catching a loose pig turned into chasing loose goats, dealing with a broken horn, cleaning blood, treating wounds, checking everyone over, and making sure everyone was okay...
..all in 101° heat.

This is real farm life.

It's not always adorable baby animals and picture-perfect sunsets.

It's sweat running into your eyes.
It's dirt.
It's blood.
It's manure.
It's fixing problems you never saw coming.

And somehow... you still wouldn't trade it.

💩 Happens. We adapt, fix it, and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.

Got to have pretty with edibles🤪🫶👏👏👏👏👏.
Brandywine, Amelia, Early Girl, Supersweet 100 and Cherokee Purple for tomatoes 🍅. African Blue Basil, Globe Basil, Bee Balm, Spearmint and one other for herbs. Lastly Pink Lightning Bugleweed and Coreopsis Hybrida perennials.
