As many of you know—and for those who are new here—here’s a little backstory on HPH 🤍
We’ve been in operation since 2016, but we didn’t officially open to the public until 2023. Before that, I took on select horses for training and taught lessons only to people I knew. Friends’ horses, my own horses that I bought and trained, and a small, familiar circle. At the time, I didn’t feel ready to take on the big wide world, so I stayed in my little one—and that was exactly what I needed then.
In 2023, we opened to the public and ran a fun, educational boutique lesson program into 2024. And then… chaos ensued.
Two of our three wonderful lesson horses were injured in freak accidents—at two different farms, in two completely unrelated incidents—within two weeks of each other. That effectively ended regularly scheduled lessons, and the program came to a halt. I made the decision to retire our third lesson horse, because it simply wasn’t fair for her to carry the entire program on her own.
Over the past year and a half, we’ve continued teaching exclusively on owner-owned horses, both haul-in and off-site. During that time, I’ve also focused heavily on furthering my own education—taking lessons from other instructors, observing, learning, and growing so I can be a better trainer and a better instructor.
In 2026, we are reopening our lesson program—slowly and thoughtfully.
This time, it will be built with intention and sustainability in mind.
What’s coming:
• Tiered riding levels as you progress
• Fun game nights
• Camps
• Ladies’ nights
• Tiny tot lessons
• Show opportunities
To our HPH customers: thank you for giving us the space and grace to rebuild, and for trusting us as we create something even better than before. Thank you for sticking with us 🤍
We will begin accepting Tiny Tot lessons ONLY starting January 15th, with more information coming soon.
As always, we will continue to offer haul-in and off-site lessons on your own horse.
