Yesterday we said goodbye to our faithful Great Pyrenees, Sampson, after 11 incredible years.

For more than a decade, he stood watch over our goat pen with unwavering dedication. Through hot summers, cold winters, long nights, and early mornings, he faithfully protected his herd and took his job seriously every single day. The goats were never just animals to him—they were his family, and he guarded them with a loyalty and devotion that can't be measured.

He was more than a livestock guardian dog. He was a constant presence on our farm, a trusted protector, and a beloved member of our family. His gentle nature, watchful eyes, and steadfast companionship will be deeply missed.

The pasture feels a little quieter today, and the goat pen won't be quite the same without him standing watch. We are grateful for every year, every memory, and every moment we were blessed to have with him.

Run free, sweet boy. You've earned your rest. Thank you for 11 years of faithful service, unconditional love, and protection. You will never be forgotten.
