Ziegenwald Dairy Ziegenwald Dairy is owned and operated by John and Andrea Woodworth. Our Farm is located on Possum Cr Virginia.

Our Farm is located on Possum Creek, near Gate City, in Scott Co. We relocated to this area in December of 1993 and bought our first goats in spring of ’94 and have been raising registered alpine goats ever since. In 2008 we attained our Grade A Dairy license which allows us to sell our homestead cheeses. Our Cheeses are made from the milk of only our own animals. We do not use hormones or antibio

tics to enhance milk production. We produce a wide variety of goats milk cheeses most of the year. Since goats are seasonal milk producers selection is limited through the winter. We also have quality breeding animals available for anyone who is looking to add to their herd or who is trying to start raising this wonderful breed of goats.

We will be at the Exchange Place Spring Fair this weekend, rain or shine. Saturday from 10 to 5 and Sunday from noon to 5 with a wide selection of our goat milk cheese. Hope to see you there @

Finished tattoo and disbudding on current babies this afternoon. Still waiting for a bunch of first fresheners to kid so there will be more. Got a couple of rows of stuff in the garden as well. Now it's time for chores after I finish my tea.

Got most of the rest of the kids disbudded and tattooed on Wednesday afternoon. 4 more in the house on the bottle and another 15 or 16 does to freshen yet. Probably all decide to kid when I'm at the seed swap in Pikeville on Saturday.

Got 19 more kids disbudded and tattooed this afternoon. Still have a bunch more to go.

Managed to get 18 of our kids and 2 for a friend disbudded and tattooed this afternoon. 15 more in the house at the moment and a bunch more to kid yet.
