Our little guy is doing wonderfully! It was a stretch of long days and nights going to the barn every few hours to help them but sweet Blackie and Lily have figured out nursing on their own 🎉 he is gaining weight perfectly and they are doing great. The kiddos just adore their baby goat snuggles 🥰

The sweetest tiny guy! Blackie 🖤

He was born two nights ago- Lily was a trooper. He was stuck with just his snout out and no hooves. I had to reposition him and pull him out by the head (intense!). He was breathing and Lily started cleaning him off right away. A second really small baby was born right after but was completely lifeless, even after my revival attempts.

They don’t quite have the nursing thing down yet but Lily is so attentive and now letting him nurse. Every 2-3 hours round the clock, I go to be a goat lactation consultant and help him latch on to mama to get some milk. I’m hopeful he will eventually get the hang of it as he gets bigger and stronger. We have had a long few days but he is now stable and maintaining his temperature ♥️ they are back in the barn after both being in our bathroom for two days 🙃

Just finished up a big batch of our absolute favorite seasoning- Ramp Salt 🌱 now in stock on Etsy and soon at Encompass Health 45.

Freshly harvested ramp leaves are dehydrated and ground. I mix them with sea salt to create a great all purpose seasoning with a delicious garlic and onion flavor.

We are very particular about salt around here and use only American sea salt. This salt is mined in Redmond, Utah from an ancient salt deposit that was created by an inland sea that was known as the Sundance Sea. It is unbleached, unrefined, and unprocessed - just real salt full of trace minerals.

Packaged in a glass jar with the prettiest wooden lid. Enjoy! 🤍
