Yesterday was one of those very rare days when everything goes right. We made the switch to Gateway Drum Smokers and couldn’t be happier. We had the cook we wanted and the flavor profiles that made people happy. Still a little stunned, but our team managed to win all three of the judged categories (ribs, pork and brisket) as well as Peoples Choice. Thank you everyone who came out to support us.

We had a great time with our team at the American Royal World Series of BBQ. While we can handle the cold, those winds kicked our butt a little and put our fire management skills to the test. We knew it wasn’t our best cook but we got everything turned in on time thanks to our running team. It was humbling being able to cook against some of the best bbq teams in the world and to be supported by amazing friends and family.

7th Grill on the Hill in the books! Always a great time with family and friends. Us old dogs cant do it without all the help from our pack, thank you so much. This year we ended up being top dog thanks to Pack leader Jeff with his 1st place brisket! Pack leader Josh took 2nd place in pork!
