Gant Herefords held their annual production sale February 27, at the farm, west of Geddes, South Dakota. 2026 is the beginning of Gant's 112th year in the Hereford cattle business! This is a truly remarkable accomplishment in the registered seedstock business. The Gant family's love & passion for the Hereford breed and its people, has been passed down and carried by multiple generations. The bull offering is a two-year-old (only) program. Bulls are managed in a manner to grow them out slow with a big focus on longevity. The calving ease bulls were highly sought after this year and saw robust bidding from the in-person crowd and those online. The Hereford bred heifer offering is always a sale highlight, and as you'll see below in the sale averages the F1 Baldy bred heifers were fought over in a BIG way! Congratulations to all!
