Happy Sunday friends ⛅️

It was a hot one this week, but thankfully all of the cows handled it well. No one went off feed or got any signs of heat exhaustion.

So how do we get the cows through the heat?
💦 24/7 access to fresh water in clean troughs
😎 access to shade all through out the day
🌽 feeding very early in the morning and late at night
🪰 multiple fly control measures in place

With the combination of good stockmanship and hard work we make sure that all of the cows can ride through the heat safely. But believe me if I could rotate them through the AC in the house I would 😂

With a load of rain coming tonight we are looking forward to cooler temperatures next week, and I think we will all be much happier!

Happy Sunday friends ☀️

We are in the thick of rotational grazing here on the farm. This year we have our two pairs on pasture and then another group of heifers. We are hoping between the two groups they will be able to keep this field mowed down so we don’t have to do it with the bush hog and tractor.

Our youngest farmer is in the thick of end of the year awards and wrapping up his first year of high school. Between all of the work that both Casey and I have off the farm, everything on the home farm, and running around to do we are always plenty tired by the time we lay our heads down at night.

Also! 🥩 We have started booking butcher dates for this year and slots are filling up fast! If you’d like to get added to our list as a new customer send us a message! If you are a returning customer we are working through our list and will be getting in touch soon!

We had a busy week filled with scrapping pens, feeding hay, bedding sheds, and running to baseball game 😅

At this farm the cows always come first, but sporting events for the youngest farmer take very high priority!

Happy Sunday friends! ☀️

It’s finally cleaning pens and sheds kind of weather, and the first on the list today is Momma and Hope’s pen. Raising healthy cattle doesn’t just mean providing them with everything they need nutritionally, but also making sure the environment they live in is up the s***f too!

We will also be running our feeders through the chute to check weights and see if we can start planning some more butcher dates! 😊 🥩

We do still have a quarter and a half available for local deliver this week if anyone is interested! Send us a message for more information! 📦

It was another week of delivering beef, bedding sheds, feeding hay, and watching our little calf Hope grow like a w**d. Maybe it’s just us but now that St. Patrick’s Day is over we are just trying to push through to warmer days 🍀 😩
