Y'all....

Lil Rascals Dog Rescue

❤️‍🩹 Update on Frankie ❤️‍🩹

Our sweet boy Frankie is doing well following his surgery to repair a pr*****ed urethra and neuter. His ears are healing from what looks to be a crude crop job, and he was also treated for ear infections. He is heartworm and hookworm positive, and has started treatments.

Frankie was found abandoned and tied up outside an apartment complex, but is now relishing a cozy bed with lots of pets and love in his foster home. He is eating well and already getting used to his new routine.

Thank you to everyone who has donated toward Frankie’s care. Your support means the world and is helping give him the medical care he urgently needs.

If you’d like to contribute, please use the link below or the one embedded in this post. Frankie’s medical expenses are ongoing, and we couldn’t save dogs like him without this amazing village of supporters.

Thank you for being part of his journey. ❤️

Say HELLLLLOOOOOO to our new foster, Frankie! This sweet boy was on the way to Euthanasia, but Lil Rascals Dog Rescue absolutely wouldn't have it. Frankie needed a Hero and he absolutely got one w/ LR! He seems to have a long story to be told, but for now his story will be nothing but love and happiness. He's only been with us since last night, so we'll update as we go. Please check in for his updates!

Lil Rascals is in need of donations for Frankies surgeries, medications and continued care. Share, donate, help however you can! 🫶

We are currently looking for a RESCUE/ADOPTION for Malibu piggy and Pepper kitty. We have had to make the difficult decision to find homes for some of our residents, as my health, our finances and the difficulties of foster/rescue have recently drowned us. Please reach out if you are interested in being a part of Malibu and/or Pepper's success.

Being a "Rescue Mom" isn't just kittens and cupcakes, it's loss too...

Today, we lost our eldest rescue kitty (almost 20 years old) that has been with us since she was just a baby. Fiona (as well as her sister, Princess, we lost about 2 yrs ago) came to us when my father had a friend moving out of state (IA/IL) and felt he needed to ck the property just in case. Well he was right, and found Fiona and her sister hiding under a bed frame in an otherwise empty trailer, with the door left open for them to escape, or predators to enter... He immediately called me and all I could say was "bring them to me". So happy I did because they gave us so many amazing memories and they were a huge part in our rescue beginnings. Fiona had the biggest personality and would quite literally tell you how she felt when she wanted something. Even after her hearing loss, she would make sure you new she was there, meowing super loud like we were hard of hearing as well lol. She was a lover, a great rescue helper - always welcoming any animals we took in, loved treats and her fancy wet foods, and even easily accepted baths and nail clips.

Fiona made rescue seem easy...

It will take some getting used to not having her amazing energy and love around, but we know her spirit will always be with us.

♡ RIP Fiona, you will forever be in our hearts. Please give your sister so much love from us.♡

🚨 🐱 🚨 🐱 🚨

KITTEN SEASON🐈: Kitten season has begun, and that means more people are finding tiny, vulnerable kittens outdoors.

Before you intervene, pause and assess. Observation first can make all the difference.

• Check first: are the kittens sick or injured? If yes, call SCAS (407) 665-5201 (☆or your county's Animal Services).
• Look for mom—she may be nearby. If kittens are warm, clean, and quiet, she could still be caring for them.
• When to act: if mom doesn’t return after a few hours or the kittens are in danger, contact a shelter or rescue (☆many options can be found by searching "near me" on Google).

Help protect local kittens—observe first, act wisely, and when in doubt, reach out for guidance.

⭐️Foster foods needed for Kirby's Kritters!⭐️

♡For our Independent Foster and Rescue, sourcing reliable Urinary Health wet cat food is essential for managing the cats prone to Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) or life threatening crystals.

♡Because rescues often balance high medical needs with budget constraints, Independent Foster and Rescue groups often rely on community support to stock specialized diets.

Hi All! 👋 It's been awhile since we've updated on Ty's recovery... and we are so happy to say that he is doing amazing! He is playful, vocal, "naughty" lol, sweet, cuddly etc., and seemingly back to his old self🙌. We are very strict with his regimen of prescription wet foods, extra supplements, filtered waters, etc. etc. and it has thankfully helped keep him from any relapses. A huge 🫂Thank You🫂 to all of those that have donated to Ty's EM Vet bill, as well as support our efforts with the other Kritters in our care🫶. We are still very much in need of some type of networking to get his GFM out there more to be viewed, shared and donated to, in order for us to continue helping all of these fosters and rescues, so please feel free to share. We appreciate you all so much!!✨️

PLEASE STOP SCROLLING — THIS IS A LIFE OR DEATH POST (*Update … Kirby's Kritters needs your support for Help Support Ty's EM Vet Cost & Continued Recovery

🏡🐾 We had such a wonderful "house guest" over the past week! Pretty Miss Maggie stayed with us as a temp foster, through Lil Rascals Dog Rescue, in between transport from the facility she was at and her long term foster.

⭐️ Maggie is approx 12-13 yrs old, about 35lbs, leash trained, house trained, crate trained, great with cats and dogs (even our Ty snuggled up with her, and that's huge with his recent stressful health issues!). She is so sweet, so calm and so happy to just be by your side.

🥹🫶 We don't know Maggie's full story, but it sounds as if her "mom" required elderly health services and there was no one to take Maggie in.... She definitely showed her sadness in her eyes, but, we reminded her every day (many times lol) how much she was loved - with kisses, bed cuddles, belly rubs and as much praise as we could possibly give her.

ℹ️ Fostering is so important, even if just temporary, and we are always happy to work with LRDR when we do, they are so amazing and put these dogs in front of their own needs on a daily basis! Please ck out their Organization if you are interested in learning more about fostering! There is also currently a Fundraiser running to help with their multiple high needs rescues and could use your help spreading the word - https://lilrascalsrescue.org/donate/! Please donate and/or share directly from their page).
