Something to look forward to....at Cane & Vine we are at it again - this time aging Riesling in rare Extra Añejo Tequila barrels from Jose Cuervo’s Reserva de la Familia® collection — oak that previously held tequila aged for years in Mexico before making its way to the Finger Lakes. These barrels carry layers of vanilla, spice, caramel, and cooked agave character that slowly weave into the bright acidity and aromatics of our Riesling. It’s a meeting of two traditions: Finger Lakes wine and ultra-aged tequila, creating something completely unique. We are anticipating a July release of this wine once it reaches what we believe is just the right level of integration. 🥂
