🍷 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆: Cane & Vine W**e Cellars

One of the newer stops on the Seneca Lake W**e Trail is ready to welcome you. 👋🍷

Located just south of Geneva on Route 14, Cane & Vine W**e Cellars focuses on w**es made from local Finger Lakes grapes, with a lineup that offers something for all kinds of w**e drinkers: from dry to sweet and plenty in between.

But w**e isn’t the only reason to stop.

Try one of their mimosa flights for a fun twist on your tasting experience, and definitely come hungry enough for a chimney cake: a warm, spiral-shaped Hungarian pastry that’s as fun to eat as it is delicious.

And the name Cane & Vine? It comes straight from the vineyard. The cane holds the buds that become the season’s new growth and, eventually, the grapes in your glass.

🍷🍂 Here’s a little October insider tip: don’t sleep on weekdays.

If your schedule gives you some flexibility, Sunday through Friday can be a pretty wonderful time to explore the Seneca Lake W**e Trail.

The fall colors are just as beautiful. The w**e tastes just as good. And you may find:

🍷 A little more time to linger over your tasting
🍂 A more leisurely pace from stop to stop
💬 More opportunities to chat with w**ery teams
📸 Plenty of time to soak in those vineyard + lake views
🚗 A generally more relaxed day of exploring

October weekends are popular around here for good reason - but there’s something pretty special about a crisp fall weekday on Seneca Lake, too.

So use that PTO. Take the long weekend. Sneak away on a Wednesday. We fully support this decision. 🍷🍁 😉

🍂 October on Seneca Lake is something special — harvest is underway, the fall colors are showing off, and there’s a whole lot of great w**e waiting for you.

It’s also one of the most popular times of year to visit! If you’re planning a trip to the Seneca Lake W**e Trail this month, a little planning can go a long way. A few quick tips:

🍷 Plan your stops ahead of time. Check w**ery hours before you head out, as they vary from place to place.

📅 Make reservations when available. Some w**eries require or strongly recommend reservations, especially on weekends.

👥 Traveling with a group? Call ahead. Each w**ery has its own policies for larger groups, so don’t assume everyone can accommodate you without advance notice.

🚗 Have a transportation plan. Designate a driver or arrange transportation ahead of time. October weekends can be especially busy for local transportation companies, too.

⏰ Give yourself plenty of time. Don’t try to squeeze too many w**eries into one day. Slow down, enjoy your tasting, take in the views, and leave a little wiggle room between stops.

💛 And pack a little patience. Our w**ery teams are working hard during one of the busiest - and most exciting - times of the year. A little kindness goes a long way!

Some w**eries just have a way of making you feel like you’ve been invited to the table.

That’s the spirit at Anthony Road W**e Company, where the family has been growing grapes on Seneca Lake since the 1970s and producing w**e under the Anthony Road label since 1989.

Today, their focus is primarily on dry, vinifera w**es that reflect the soils, climate and character of each Finger Lakes vintage. Settle in for a seated tasting, then leave yourself a little extra time to explore the art gallery, wander through the garden, or enjoy a glass outside.
