Here is the price list for 2025! These are all large fowl varieties. We will be hatching out bantam Self Blue (Lavender) Ameraucana, but since this is a new variety for us, we will be growing all chicks out to see what we have to work with. This means we will have bantam growouts! We will post those as they become available.

We will post chick and growout availability here on our farm page, and they will be rehomed on a first come, first served basis. Chicks will be available March through June, and then growouts will be posted August through October. We are excited to see the work we have put in come to light in this year's birds, and are thrilled to share them with you! If you have any questions, please feel free to message. Thanks everyone! Going to let friends and customers have first dibs on these incubators! They have hatched hundreds of eggs for me, and have a lot of life left in them. I am selling them so I can upgrade to a setup I've had my eye on for years now... 😁

Three Nurture Right 360s- 22 egg capacity. These are great incubators when used away from drafts (i.e. regularly opened doors/windows). Two are in perfect working condition. The circulation fan went out in the third one, but I have used it to hold newly hatched chicks so they can dry off and recover in a warm place without disturbing the other eggs. $120 each for the two perfect 360s, and $60 for the one without working circulation fan. I would do $260 for all three together.

One Farm Innovators Pro Series Digital Incubator Model 4250 with turner- 42 egg capacity. This has been my most reliable model of incubator. I have two, but am keeping one for myself as a backup. Holds humidity and temperature very well. Will take $100 for this one.

I'd do $350 total for ALL FOUR incubators together, if someone really wants to get set up for hatching. These would make awesome Christmas presents for your favorite chicken lover, promise. 😊 Will be posting these on Marketplace later this week if I don't hear from anyone. Thanks, everybody!

UPDATE: All pullets have sold. We still have several lovely bachelors looking for their new home, though!

Hey everybody!
We have some odds and ends to offer up this Fall. They are priced to move, because we would like them to find their new homes before we start our first show season! More on that later. 😉

Group #1- Hen-raised mixed cockerels. Mostly Marans, Ameraucana, and Cream Legbar bloodlines. The three cockerels are varying shades of blue with gold and cream leakage. They are $5 each.

Group #2- I have one more Blue Ameraucana cockerel and two Cream Legbar cockerels that I can let go. These guys just barely didn't make the cut for next year's breeding program. They would be great for someone starting out with the breed, or wanting to add some colored egg genetics to their flock. They are $10 each.

Group #3- SOLD

Group #4- Two White Legbar cockerels.These are gorgeous birds! They are $10 each.

Group #5- One Naked Neck rooster and one Black Laced Red Wyandotte rooster. These two are 6 months old, and super cool! We would keep them if we had space for that many roosters. They are $15 each.

P.S. The black cockerel is "split," which means he carries one copy of the Lavender gene. His name is Gnomeo, and he is such a gentleman!

We have PULLETS!!!

These ladies are awesome. No better way to describe them. For those who just want beautiful girls who are reliable layers, we have Black Australorps and Austra Whites. For those who want fancy beards, poofy cheeks, and gorgeous blue eggs, we have our Ameraucanas! All of these girls are favorite breeds of mine. They are friendly, smart, and curious. These ladies are 14-20 weeks old. The Australorps and Austra Whites should start laying within the next 4-6 weeks. The Ameraucanas like to make us build the excitement for a while. They should start laying within 2-4 months. But the beautiful blue is more than worth the wait! 💙 For the value shopper, we have some mixed pullets that our free range hens decided to hatch all on their own.

We have:

4 Austra Whites (White with a few black spots)
3 Black Australorps (solid black)
8 Blue Ameraucanas
1 Black Ameraucana
5 BYM pullets (Easter Eggers)

We have DUCKS!!!
This has been an exciting new venture for us! We love how goofy and happy they are. But we have more than we have room for. Sooo, who wants some duckies? They need a water source where they can put their entire bill under water, as this is how they clean out their sinuses. They also love having a little swimming pool or pond to play in. Other than that, they are easier than chickens, in my opinion. *GEESE ARE NOT AVAILABLE*

Two Ancona drakes (black and white patches)
Pair of Black Swedish (black with white chest)
One Fawn and White Indian Runner drake

Hi, Double V Acres friends!
We have been mostly absent as of late. We had a death in the family and an out-of-state trip for the funeral... At exactly the same time, our little farmstead was hit with the largest tornado on record in Arkansas. 😳

We lost 17 trees, 5 young chicks, and a couple of exotic aquarium fish. The chicks and fish were due to our power being out for nearly five days.

Luckily, the house is mostly fine, with mild/moderate roof damage that insurance will cover. We had a branch go through the wall of our well house, but insurance is covering that as well. We are sad about the loss of our big, wonderful trees. But we feel blessed that the majority of our animals made it through the event unscathed. Also pretty happy that Justin made it with only a big scare. 😉🥰

All that said, I have several growouts I would like to find a new home for since we are working to clean up the property, and I would like to focus primarily on that for now.
We have plenty of 3-6 week old Black and Blue Ameraucana chicks that will be $11-13 each. They are still straight run, since there isn't a reliable way to tell gender until about 10-12 weeks with this breed. But the 6 week olds are ready to be off heat, and would do well outside with secure shelter. PM if you're interested! Thanks! 😊

THIS IS THE FINAL CALL FOR CHICKS IN 2024!!!
Due to a couple of unforseen circumstances, I'm going to cut my planned hatching season down a little. Our last babies that will be available this year are currently popping their shell tops! I am not sure of exact numbers yet, but we will have these varieties available...

Ameraucanas:
Black
Blue
Splash
Self Blue (Lavender)

We also have a handful of older chicks ready to go. They will need less time in a brooder, and have already had a great start! They range in age from 3-5 weeks old. We have the Black and Blue varieties available in the older chicks. Price will be what is listed on the chick price list, and add $1 per week of age. So a 3-week old Ameraucana chick would be $12.

We do also have a deal for the bargain shoppers! We have three mixed chicks available for $5 each! Or, buy any 5 other chicks and get one of these cuties for free. They are all at least half Wyandotte. If someone wanted to take the best advantage of this deal, they could end up with 18 chicks total for the price of 15 chicks!

Cash payments only, please. Chicks are all straight run.
