It is finally starting to feel like pumpkin spice weather, so get ready because…

It’s time for an SGFF Monthly Meeting. Join us on Tuesday, October 20th when our guest speaker will be the one, the only…. Jim Kettleman!

Jim has worked for Living Waters Fly Fishing since 2019, mostly as a guide but still works in the fly shop on occasion. He has lived in Central Texas since the late 80s and grew up floating and fishing the Lower Colorado, San Marcos, and Guadalupe rivers even earlier than that. Jim has guided many of the waterways in Central Texas, including Salado Creek, Lampasas River, San Gabriel River, Brushy Creek, San Marcos River, Guadalupe River, Blanco River, Pedernales River, and the Llano River.

He has fished all over Texas and many of the adjoining states, and was a member of the San Gabriel fly fishers for many years, first joining in 2009.

Jim’s talk will focus on fishing Caddo Lake in and around the State Park as well as a few other East Texas hotspots.

As always, our meetings are free and open to the public.

Patrick Ireland serves as the District Fisheries Biologist for TPWD Inland Fisheries in Central Texas, where he leads a team responsible for monitoring and managing public waters across a 16‑county district.
