It is with a heavy heart that Ramiro Salazar passed away on June 4, 2026 of compilations of Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He was the founder of Phoenix Farm and Racing in 2013 along with his longtime partner, Denise Belcher. The farm will continue under the new name of Phoenix Farm and Associates with our son Makaio Salazar as owner/manager and our daughter, Mayela Salazar as yearling manager. Ramiro’s brother, Jorge Alvarez is Farm Manager. I, Denise Belcher, will continue to help behind the scenes with paperwork and pedigrees. If there are any questions please feel free to reach out.
