Troxtel Farms

Troxtel Farms Troxtel Farms is owned by Elaine & Zane Troxtel and is located in Northeast Alabama.

The farm was started in Fall of 2011 when I got out of graduate school at Auburn University. We started with two commerical cows that were graduation and wedding presents. From there we entered into the Angus breed through purchasing cattle, embryos, and semen. Today we stand right at 150 head and with the purchase of a new farm hopefully will expand into the furture.

We had a great bull sale this weekend at Cullman Stockyards. 64 bulls averaged $5,843 with a top bull of $13,500. We averaged $5600 on our five. Very good demand with a lot of empty trailers leaving without a bull. People are looking for them. We sold 31 bulls off the farm before Christmas and so far very good reports from everyone that has purchased! I want to thank all of our bull customers this year and also our beef customers as well! The last group for the winter is picking up this week!
