We've just prepared a 45 pound batch of tomato sauce with our giant saucer tomatoes yesterday, and we're planning on bringing some of these giants to the Saturday morning farmers market in Red Bluff. The biggest of the Super Sauce tomatoes weighs in at 2 1/4 pounds. If you're looking for good sauce tomatoes, we ended up canning nine quarts with these as their flesh is extremely thick.

Come by and see us at Riverside park between 8am and noon - we'll have them on hand to sell!

We moved to this farm five years ago, and after a lot of work cleaning up the property inside and out, we've started selling vegetables in 2026. Welcome to Swager Farms.

We're currently attending both the Saturday and Wednesday farmers markets in Red Bluff and have significantly scaled up operations in the last year or so.

With 2 large shade houses and a large outdoor corn, melon and squash patch, our garden has grown this year to about 1 acre, double the size of last year's. We plan to open up another acre to plant more row crops and will be testing our flood irrigation for the first time this year as well.

We have nearly 150 plants (half peppers, half tomatoes/tomatillos) in the shade houses and thousands more in the outdoor areas.

We'll be posting daily once or twice from here on out and as time permits. The Red Bluff community of farmers has been very good to us and we're proud to be part of the food provider circuit here in Tehama County.

Meanwhile, here's a picture of our north shade house taken about a month ago:
