Puck, Percy Bear, and Josie might look like giant, fluffy teddy bears who just want scratches, but they’re actually hard at work out here!

As our livestock guardian dogs, they spend their days (and nights) patrolling the property and keeping foxes, raccoons, and hawks away from the animals at Drunken Duck Farm and Mallard's Landing Sanctuary.

They take their jobs very seriously. Especially when it comes to defending the farm against the most dangerous, highly suspicious threat of all:
Butterflies. 🦋

Farmers, rescuers, veterinarians, and anyone else who spends their days caring for animals or crops need self-care too. And, all too often, we're the ones who have the hardest time actually making time for it.

Sometimes self-care is less spa day and more a cup of tea and a few minutes where nobody needs anything from you. 🫖🌿

Heat the water. Choose a tea based on what you need from your cup. Find your favorite spot, put down the phone, and give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing except enjoy a cup.

For me, that often means taking my tea out to the Gothic Coop or Bachelor Rooster Coop, sitting on a bench, and watching the birds do their thing. 🐓 Those few quiet minutes help me slow down and remember exactly why I do what I do.

Sit down. Let it steep. And maybe, for a few minutes, let yourself steep, too.

🍯🍓 NEW FROM THE FARM! 🍓🍯

We’ve been busy cooking, stirring, steeping, and generally making delicious things happen at Drunken Duck Farm!
We’re excited to officially introduce two new additions to the farmstand:

🍯 Infused Honeys made with honey from our very own hives, including some flavors with a little Drunken Duck attitude.

🍓 Drunken Duck Preserves small-batch jams, jellies, and preserves featuring seasonal fruits, farm-inspired flavors, and, occasionally, a spirited little splash. 🥃

For now, our honeys and preserves are
exclusively available at our in-person markets, so you’ll have to come see us to get your hands on a jar!

🌙 Come visit us TODAY at Poppets Coffee & Tea House in Kettering!

We’ll be here until 8 PM tonight, with plenty of Drunken Duck goodies in tow.

❓ Are you open to the public?

Not quite... at least not yet.

Right now, Drunken Duck Farm & Rescue is not open to the general public. As much as we'd love to welcome visitors every day, we simply don't have the resources or manpower to safely host guests while also providing the best possible care for all of the animals who call the farm home.

Our hope is that, as we continue to grow, we'll be able to offer select farm tours, educational programs, workshops, and special events. We'd love to create opportunities for people to learn about farming, animal care, conservation, fiber arts, herbalism, and all the other things that make the farm such a special place.

We're just not there yet.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we continue building toward that future. Every purchase, donation, and kind word helps move us one step closer to opening our gates for those experiences. ❤️🦆
